First the deceit...they say $2.7 Tril in cuts, however they are counting $1 Trillion in planned cuts that have already happened through reduced military action in Iraq/Afghanistan. So nearly half of their plan will happen with/without enacting anything.
Secondly, it only cuts $1.2 Trillion...OVER A 10 YEAR PERIOD. How many times do "proposed cuts" never happen? About 100% of the time. In other words in this plan, it is highly likely in the end nothing would be cut.
It also includes no legislation to re-lower the debt ceiling ensuring that spending would DECREASE - instead it will likely increase, as you know as well as I do - they will not save the $1 trillion in less military spending as the war winds down - they will find something else to blow it on.
We are so screwed.
