"Democracy is dead"

Yeah I saw that, the little bitch started crying on camera. Hillarious.

All we will hear from the liberals and union thugs in Wisconsin now is how the recall votes were stolen from their loosing candidate. Typical liberal bull shit.

I think the guy was just emotional because he had a lot invested in the outcome-and obviously was hysterical. But I guarantee you this happens on both sides. It's the crybaby syndrom that happens to Dems and Reps. If you lose it can't be because that person deserves/earned it-it has to be because it was stolen, voter fraud, money, illegal activities, that person's inelligible, etc.

It's the cycle of whining-and it's a two party issue.

I wish I could have seen it. If anyone sees a vido of it on uTube, please post a link.

I'd like to see that thug Axelrod cry like a little girl.

Liberals often mix up the definitions of Democracy, Socialism, Communism, Totalitarianism and Fascism.

That's good, because we are a republic with democratically elected officials.
Actually...that ain't entirely accurate. We have a REPRESENTATIVE Republic. Not ALL of our officials are elected. MOST are appointed by the people we elect to carry out our will.

Actually, US Senators are NOT supposed to be elected by popular vote!

That's right, the founders used the Constitution to set up the 3 branches so that one was elected...the executive or President for the politically illiterate...one was appointed...the judiciary or the Supreme and Federal Justices and the third...the Congress...was a combination where one side of Congress, the House of Representatives was elected and the other, the Senate was appointed OR elected by the legislators back home. NOT by popular vote!

That was done for a VERY good reason. It was because the House is where all legislation is suppose to originate. And the Senate was suppose to be the group that rode herd on the House so that shit like Obamacare couldn't happen.

How would them being appointed make sure that happened? Well...look around your state. Does your Senator reflect the same kind of people who are representing you in your State Legislature?

I'm guessing that 2/3rds of you would answer no...or HELL no! Why is that? Because when in 1913, during the rein of the FIRST progressive puke that served as president of this country, Woodrow Wilson, we passed the 17th Amendment, it decoupled Senators from the representatives back home and absolved BOTH of them from facing the consequences of NOT doing the will of "We the People!"

THAT...was a mistake we can and should fix. If we are to reclaim this country to it's greatness, we have to reclaim control over it. That means reclaiming our government to the founding principles in the Constitution!

But what it meant was that Senators who were supposed to be looking out for the interest of the state that sent them to Washington were no longer tied to the State Representatives who sent them...and were themselves answerable to we the people...and couldn't be recalled for being a screw up. After that, Senators only allegiance became to the Federal government, special interest and THE VOTE!

IT SUCKS!!!

Ok...ok...sorry! Rant AND history lesson over. LOL

Just something that ticks me off when I hear this democracy crap. As Grunt says, and I paraphrase, we don't have no stinkin' democracy! ;~)

"Democracy" died when a washed up comedian named Al Franken stole the U.S. Senate seat from Norm Coleman, thanks to a bogus recount.

But that's different. That's the LEFT WINGNUTS just showing THEIR version of "Democracy".

We need real Voter ID laws. How the fuck does Madison WI have a 120% turn out? Voter Fraud

One would have to say the people once again made it very clear that enough of the divisiveness enough with the bullshit, time for change!

You need an I.D. to buy a pack of cigarettes.

You need an I.D. to cash a check.

You need an I.D. to buy liquor.

You need an I.D. to open a checking account.

You need an I.D. when you go to your doctor's office.

You need an I.D. to buy a car.

You need an I.D. to buy certain over-the-counter medications.

You need an I.D. to stay in a motel.

BUT YOU DON'T NEED ANY KIND OF IDENTIFICATION TO VOTE IN ANY ELECTION IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! Just walk into your local voting precinct (or any other precinct for that matter), give the 95-year-old lady your name (or any other name that comes to mind), and "Granny" will give you everything you need to cast your votes.

Wrong. But nice try.

Florida's law currently states that you need to:

When you go to the polling place to vote, you will be asked to provide a current and valid picture identification with a signature. Approved forms of picture identification are: Florida driver's license; Florida identification card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles; United States passport; debit or credit card; military identification; student identification; retirement center identification; neighborhood association identification; and public assistance identification. (Section 101.043, F.S.) If the picture identification does not contain a signature, you will be asked to provide an additional identification with your signature.
