Democracy in Egypt: We Want an Islamic State

In my opinion, Israel really needs to work out a legitimate and equitable peace deal with the Palestinians.

The era of US back puppet dictators is slowly coming to a close.

And the average Arab citizen regardless of country will demand their new government deal harshly with Israel.

Plus slowly the European countries are drifting away from support for the Zionist and Israel.

The only Arab country that Israel had OK relations with was Egypt, and we already know how that's turning out. Syria and Lebanon are no friends lost. So what's your point? How do you expect these countries to "deal harshly"? What are they going to do? Use their Arab swing vote in the UN to wag another finger? It's not like they can impose trade restrictions or sanction. They aren't going to attack, soo...

Egypt has the only real power here, but Israel has more or less moved on from its dependence on Egyptian oil and is focusing on the future. And if Egypt really wanted the Palestinians to have a state, why let Sinai become a desert ghetto for thieves and terrorist thugs?

CAIRO, (PIC)-- A special source informed PIC correspondent in Cairo that the number of Egyptian army officers killed by an Israeli airstrike near Rafah has risen to seven, in addition to a number of wounded.

The source that asked not to be identified said that amongst the officers killed are two Brigadiers, which prompted a prominent military official to head a special force to Sinai.

PIC correspondent also said that the revolution youth were preparing for demonstrations on Friday outside the Israeli embassy in Cairo to protest the killing of the Egyptian officers.

A leader of the revolution youth said that a march will head from Tahrir Square after Friday prayers to the Israeli embassy to protest the killing of Egyptian officers and soldiers.

Official Egyptian sources said earlier that three Egyptian soldiers were killed on Thursday evening when and Israeli aircraft fired a rocket near the Egyptian Palestinian borders close to Rafah.

This is the same Egypt that claims Ilan is a spy.

The fundamental problem with Arab nations is their people are not capable of governing themselves...These countries need to be colonized, for the better of them, and the better of the civilized world.

look at the world today, the so-called evil British colonies paved the way for a civilized world, but no one wants to recognize this...Take a look at former French colonies, like Sierra Leone, and compare it with Nigera...Nigera is a wretched hell hole, but its like heaven next to Sierra Leone...why?
I believe the British did a better job of civilizing them.

Mr. Mohamed is not doing a good job raising children....when you have six year old kids allowed to throw rocks in front of tanks, there is a problem.

If we don't assimilate these people in to what should be universal beliefs about the sacredness of human life, then things will never change....20 years from now someone Karzide will commit a horrible human atrocity, and then liberals will say, you see the U.S. put him in power and we're the true evil...we're not the true evil, we just keep on putting band-aids on situations that require significant will and patients...

I'm not for free elections in Egypt, and I wasn't for them in Afghanistan, or Iraq either.

Historian Paul Johnson...
The lack of symmetry between the risks taken by Arabs and by Israelis is one result of a different view of the sanctity of human life. The Jewish faith was the first religion to preach this sanctity and to magnify the value of each individual human being in the eyes of his Creator — hence, equally, in other human beings. This is the main reason that Mosaic law differs so markedly in humanity and reason from all the other fiercely retributive codes of the ancient Near East. The value placed on human life by Jews has steadily increased over the centuries, as a response to persecution and, above all, to the Nazi attempt at extermination of the entire people. Israel itself was created as a refuge and fortress in which Jewish lives would be safe from annihilation. It is thus the physical embodiment of the principle that individual life is sacred.

By contrast, the Islamic-Arab concept of "the war of the martyrs" places no value on human life except as a sacrifice in the holy war. A warrior gains infinitely more by losing his life than by preserving it, for then he gains eternal life, and his status as a martyr is enhanced by the number of dead Israelis — "sons and daughters of Satan" — whom he takes with him.

The same European countries that now regret multiculturalism and despise their Muslim populations and the backward Muslim culture that is taking the EU back to the Middle Ages, from banning the hideous burqa to denying Turkey entry to the EU

Centuries ago, Spain took 800 years to finally get rid of you virgin chasers

Good one, Mahometan.:clap2:

Egypt is about to turn into an Islamic totalitarian state. You understand that people are still being arrested and tried for the most bullshit crimes, right?

This is not a good thing.

I'm not sure that US interference will make the situation any better, and ultimately, a country has to go through struggles in order to set itself up and become the country it was meant to be. Certainly no country imposed it's will on the US after it gained independence, we can hope for the best, but interfering is not the way to go. I like to believe that people are capable of governing themselves, and that ultimately all humans want the same thing.

Yes and the people in Iran are wishing the Shaw was back in because they had much more freedom then than they do today. Sometimes the cure is worse than the disease.
