Defiant Wilson raises more than $200,000 after outburst

c'mon yank - not EVERY Republican is that way - replace that with Radical Right and I'm on board with you. (Unfortunatlery for the GOP, the radical right has chained themselves around their party's neck)

You are right nodog....how about if I said "the base" of the Republican party?

I may have to (sadly) agree there. Without real statesmen or real leaders to fill the void, the radical right has become the GOP's focal point.

"Radical right" in what way?
Not caving in to demands.

See, "moderate" doesn't mean you don't froth at the mouth. "Moderate" means you sacrifice 99% of your principles and try to be like the sissy version of the other party, but you haven't totally reached their full potential yet.

(I know you know this, but I still am pissed off enough to say it).

IMHO - radicalism is in the inability to work toward your goals incrementally. It's an all or nothing mentailty. It's the approach the post WW II Palestinians took in the negotiations to establishing a Jewish state in the middle east. Didn't work that well for them did it? See what that has relagated them to?

Radicals want it all their way - 100% - RIGHT NOW and they are willing to bring everyone and everything crashing down if they don't get it.

Their have been notable examples on the far right and on the far left.

Incrementalism is the tool of Fabian socialists.

What "incremental" method would you have used to free the slaves in 1865?

Hey if he needs some more cash i would be glad to help. The only person brave enough to stand up to Hopey Changey so far. I have to give the man credit for that. With a dumbed-down Obama-run Mainstream Media and a cowardly Republican Leadership, this brave man clearly stands out. Kudos to Mr. Wilson! If possible we should all help this brave soul.

Considering it was 100 years later before these slaves became fully free and equal members of American society, I'd say I would have personally approved of an approach that was LESS incremental.

And if you denounce incremental change - then just go ahead and embrace your radicalism. But don't try to get the majority of people (who aren't radicals) to go along with you by claiming that you're really a moderate.

Yeah, it takes real bravery to be a classless punk.

Three things to consider when it comes to I.I.'s and healthcare.

1)Yes, it is possible to keep the Healthcards out of an I.I.'s possession, but it does not keep the I.I.'s out of the Healthcare system. This is due to the fact that they can get treated by going to the E.R. What happens now, the cost of treatment is higher and the I.I. can dipp out without paying for it.

2)The idea that it is possible to refuse treatment to a patient due to their citizenship does not even sound sensible. Nor humane.

3)This issue of II's has a populists flaw to its logic. Try this, besides Illegal immigrants, how about refusing non-civilian migrants like exchange students and Tourists as well. The logical argument that eschews immigrants should also work in the case of other non-Americans in our nation.

Translation--a moderate steps in a manner that is strongly correlated to his confidence in a situation. If it is fraught with perils, the moderate takes small steady steps to the destination.

If he is assure of himself and his decision, then long confident strides are in order.

I love it. The plan says no money to illegal immagrants, but does nothing to stop them from going to the emergency room with an injured child. Defiant Wilson doesn't like that.

Can Republicans tell an a parent, "Sorry, the kid will just have to die."

Guess so.

If the child is a citizen then it will have the same right to healthcare as any other citizen. You do KNOW that the large majority of children of illegals are born here, right????? That that makes them US Citizens, right?

liberals have never understood the concept of illegal

CNN Political Ticker: All politics, all the time - Blogs from CNN.com

From CNN's Peter Hamby and Alexander Mooney...

...You know if this idiot would simply read HR3200 he would know it spells out NO COVERAGE FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS. Can he not read? Or is he simply too lazy?

You forgot the rest of the article:

The appeal for cash came as Wilson's Democratic opponent in next year's congressional race, Rob Miller, reported raking in $750,000 as a result of the outburst during President Obama's address to a joint session of Congress. Miller ran against Wilson last year, losing by eight points. It was Wilson's smallest margin of victory in his five elections for Congress.

In an e-mail to supporters Thursday night, Miller said he is aiming to top over $1 million in the next 24 hours, a total that dwarfs the $67,000 he has took in during the entire first half of the year.

ROFL, Wilson raised 1/3 of what his opponent did as a result of his little tantrum.

Actually the slaves were freed incrementally, first those in the states at war with the Union, and then later, all the rest, mostly, as apparently there are instances of there still being slaves in the US, just not in that particular context...

Instead of demanding an apology, the Dems should ask Joe Wilson to explain how he can be against health care reform when he enjoys government health care himself.

:eusa_eh:

The guy is a hypocrite, just like RGS. Amazing.
