So.. the dems got DADT repealed

got the START treaty confirmed

passed the 9/11 health bill

got unemployment insurance extended

all in exchange for giving a few millionaires a tax cut?

i wonder who's agenda mattered more?

but apparently the lame duck wasn't so lame.

oh...and the president's approval rating is higher than chris christie's ... oops

how did the repubs grab defeat from the jaws of victory?

It's not a surprise that you never asked yourself why, if these things were so important, they weren't passed prior to the election.

The 'lame duck' session is nothing but desparation.

Killing a signature campaign promise Obama made to the left (which is costing em both votes AND support) and forcing to em compromise with us (WHO ARE STILL THE VERY SMALL MINORITY for a couple more weeks) on a key issue to pass one of OUR key issues (tax relief for ALL, don't punish success, etc) is indeed win plenty for us, we don't need anymore.

A currently very small minority party got BIG concessions from the majority party and their Prez.

Significant no matter how some lefty Jackass tries to spin it.:eusa_shhh:

^^Why she's on my pwned belt ladies and gentlemen....that and the weirdo spam she tried to ambush me with^^

Gotta agree.

None of this was high priority for the Dems before the Nov elections. Nothing stands in the way of possibly getting elected doncha know??

Hells bells. Any and all could have been handled next month by the new Congress.

I'm sure Harry Reid feels like superman. LOL

whose desperation?

i'd say you guys look pretty bad. and it's a great image for the 2012 campaign that the only thing the repubs cared about was tax cuts for the rich.

if it was desperation, obama wouldn't be 55% today according to this poll?

so come on... justify the repubs only caring about rich people.

i'm sure he does.

and mitch mcconnell looks like a big putz.

And we would all have been better off had none of these passed. Just more bloated meaningless government, that's all.

repeal of DADT is bloated meaningless govt?

people who dug out the bodies at ground zero are meaningless?

unemployed people are meaningless?

and the above is why you guys ultimately blow up any victory you get.

Good point Sweetie!!! Happy Holidays to you, and may Santa ask for your cookie recipe.:eusa_angel:

I happen to agree with repealing DADT and helping the 9-11 first responders.

Not so much on the unemployment benefit extention. Hell. I've got friends riding that gravy train for all its worth.

Don't think its that much of a victory for the Dems though as they had to have Rep votes to get it done.

Am I wrong??

Unlike the OP's meaningless and mindless cheerleading for one side, some of us are actually interested in what's good for America.
And none of what was passed is good.
I would hardly consider it much of an accomplishment to pass Democratic-inspired legislation through an overwhelmingly Democratic Congress made up of Democrats with no electorate to face for 2 years to be signed by a Democratic president.
The fact that the stupid out of touch and high-schoolish OP sees any of that as somethingn to crow about tells me there's trouble on Planet Democrat.

You must be in the Christmas....er Holiday spirit, jillian, don't want to offend, hahahah!!! But where did I condemn people digging up bodies, You're making some wild leaps. If it's a new law, it's more government.
