Decided to Become a Liberal

Liberal = People over profits

Conservative = Profits over people

If you actually believe that, it is no wonder you are a moron.

And if you don't believe it, you're dumber than you appear to be, you miserable little bi....

YUO = Idiot

Capitalism (i.e. generating Profits) has enabled far more people to raise themselves up and better their lives than any other system ever tried.

The biggest misery has been inforced by totalitarian statists who think that From Each According To His Ability To Each According To His Need is more moral than self-sufficiency.

Smoke a lot of dope; move into your parents basement and pursue a career in video gaming.

Can't really say. The only libs I know are invissible people on message boards. People in my real life take care of their families and have never tried to steal my money. Go figure.

Rethink that one nonelitist. Chicks don't dig video ganers.

I think Clean has a good point here Cali-Girl. And kind enough to be succinct in making the point in an easily understood and clear way. "People over profits" explains quit readily why Liberals are always in a moral deficit, an economic deficit and in an intelectual deficit. As profits represent income earned but not yet spent you can see how Liberals would despise them. The idea of unspent wealth in anathema to Liberals.

On the other hand, if one puts "profits over people" it becomes easy to serve both. To earn a profit one must have the creative capasity to generate some kind of good that others will buy on the free market of their own free will. One must accept reality and use reason to be productive and not live as a parasite on others. One must be an individual and have self respect to see that for his rights to be protected, all rights must be protected and NO rights come at the expence of someone else.

Just sayin' :tongue:

I have decided to become a liberal, but I don't know what the complete process is.

Can you liberals suggest my plan of action from this point on?

I need to learn how to do it right.

No leftwingnut on this board can tell you what an actual liberal is. As care4all. One of the few real ones left.

Liberal = People over profits

Conservative = Profits over people

Liberal = People over profits.....so they say.....come to my State were these assholes say they are for the poor working slobs.....and then not only tax the hell out of you but find ways to charge you fees to squeeze even more out of you....yea People over profits.....and please dont give me that lame line....well you have a Republican Governor....because i will just laugh in your face....

I consider myself fairly liberal. Here would be my suggested approach:

(1) put labor, the consumer, and business on an equal footing. If you want to be an ultra-liberal, which I don't care for any more than I do the conservatives, then discriminate against business

(2) stop listen to others tell you what to do and how to think. If you're still reading this then there's no chance at all for you in your quest to become a liberal.

I think you are as unrealistic as those that blame capitalism for all that is wrong.

Capitalism has enabled some people to better their lives...on the backs of other people.

Socialism has enabled some people to better their lives...at the expense of other people.

There is nothing more wrong with: "From Each According To His Ability To Each According To His Need" any more than there is with "self-sufficiency" - both are good philosophies.

Self sufficiency - individual responsibility - is fine - it enables each to take care of his or her own, and it is a system that encourages the entrepeneural activities that drive the economy. But it's downside is it is inherently a very selfish system - why should I be my brothers keeper?

On the other hand, "From Each According To His Ability To Each According To His Need" creates a better world for more people at the risk of destroying individual incentive and econonic creativity. We are our brother's keeper whether we want or not.

The ideal is not in either alone (capitalist sweatshops vs collective stagnation).

I am my brother's keeoer. Just not someone elses brother. Take care of your own families. That's what people do in my "culture".

Like I said - at it's extreme, it's a very selfish philosophy - or "culture".

If you actually believe that, it is no wonder you are a moron.

You never actually have anything to say but to call people names.

I think it's a legitimate description. Here's why:

Liberals support unions which work to make sure the workplace is safe, the people make enough money to survive and have adequate health care to stay healthy. They care more about the people than the profit.

Conservatives are union busters and union busting is one of the reasons the 25 miners died recently, where was the union? The cons busted it. They care more about the profit than the people.

Now your turn, if you can do more than call people morons, give us an example of why we're wrong.

Do you honestly expect California Girl to engage in intelligent, civil debate?

Good luck to you

In all fairness to CG, when she wants to she puts up a good and fair argument. Try it sometime.

Crawl out from under the bed, then turn off Faux News...

The rest will take care of itself after the room is fumigated.

How is it selfish to take care of your own family?

See thats the problem. You are so busy trying to take care of everyone that everyone suffers. If you focus on the people you can take care of, and encourage everyone else to as well everyone will be taken care of.

Clean the inner vessel, then work on the outer one.

Buy a hybrid. Become a vegetarian (I'm almost one). Move to Marin County, or Brooklyn. Get a good paying, intellectual sort of job - like college professor or research scientist (I'm going into constitutional law, that requires some sort of intellect, yeah?) Go to independent movies, and listen to indie music or world music (I enjoy indie stuff and some world music). Go to protests (Don't we all protest at some point or another?), and donate money to union PACs. Empathize with poor people, and buy your half-caf soy latte at starbucks.

Or you could stop being a partisan asshole.
Oh, and I'm conservative and do the things or am whatever is on your list that I highlighted in different colors.

First step away from Fox for about a month.
Then review your decision.

Ignore all facts and truth, always voice your opinion based on your emotions and feel good philosophies. Pay no attention to numbers or budgetary items, and mentally move yourself into a constant state of denial and coma. Oh and lest I forget- learn NOTHING about HISTORY. Remember to always blame Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuush when caught in a corner and call anyone who disagrees with you a racist. There--- you have the rules for becoming a liberal. :lol::lol:

Nice post- you sound just like Hannity :lol:

Step 1 - have half of your brain sucked out by the same vacuum that they abort babies with.
Step 2 - Let emotions rule your every decision. Facts no longer matter, only "feelings".
Step 3 - do a lot of crying and whining. Practice saying things like "Bush lied", and "D Arth Cheney".
Step 4 - Bend over and prepare to get screwed. You're a professional victim now! Congrats!!

So you start a rant that's clearly based on emotion and then proceed to yell incoherently like Beck. Then you make an idiot claim that applies to both sides and think you're bright?
Step 3 - do a lot of crying and whining. Practice saying things like "Bush lied", and "D Arth Cheney".
As opposed to 'Obama is a Kenyan Communist ******!!!!'?:eusa_eh:
