(CNSNews.com) - The federal government’s debt increased by $203,368,715,583.63 in the month of October, according to the U.S. Treasury.

That equals about $650 per person for each of the 312,542,760 people the Census Bureau now estimates live in the United States.

At the end of September, the total national debt stood at $14,790,340,328,557.15, according to the Bureau of the Public Debt. By the end of October, it had risen to $14,993,709,044,140.78.

The debt increased far more this October than it did last October. Between the last day of September 2010 and the last day of October, the debt rose from $13,561,623,030,891.79 to 13,668,825,497,341.36—for an increase of $107,202,466, 449.57.

October is the first month of the federal fiscal year. If the debt were to increase by an average of $203 billion for the remaining 11 months of the year, the national debt would increase by $2.436 trillion for the year.

It's more and more clear that The Obama plans to do as much damage as He can before He loses his job next year.

if only republicans were incontrol of the purse strings (house of represenatives) this kind of thing would not be happening......

oh wait......

Dem Senate...still no budget.

Republican Congress need to take the position that since Obama and Reid fail to act, Cut Cap and Balance is the Rule of the land

The central planners from both parties and their "give me more" minions are not happy to confiscate wealth from today's productive members of society...they need to fuck with those yet to be born as well. Nice.

For those keeping track, October's increase in debt brings the total to $132,951 owed from each and every taxpayer...and rising FAST.

We are just shy of 15 Trillion dollars. And, the demonRats keep saying we haven't spent enough.. remember that.

The US government brings in about $2.5T/yr in revemue.
It boggles the mind that some people think we need to spend more than that.

Not only that, due to what is called "baseline budgeting", federal government spending goes up every year AUTOMATICALLY. Baseline budgeting is a method of developing a budget which uses existing spending levels as the basis for establishing future funding requirements. It assumes that the budget will grow say, 7% each year, and any budget that arrives at a figure lower than that is called a "cut." The baseline budget allows politician in Washington to spend more money every year while lying to us about their frugality.

Since Obama and Reid won't act, the Republican Congress needs to step up and take action

Agreed but until fiscally minded Rs have a super majority in both houses, there is little they can do other than refuse to increase the debt limit. Still way to many big spenders in DC, in both parties.
