.....I've got at least 2 failures to post....these seem to be WTH were they thinking??!!??...
.....they seem to be where the people are not ''street smart--''wilderness smart''....there minds are not thinking that there are bad guys out there....etc

Leave it to a Brit to assume it simply would be a polite afternoon on the lawn. The attack on Fort Michilimackinac was executed flawlessly.
the commander:
was suffering from an acute case of cultural blindness.
.....first we have the massacre at Fort Michilmackinac and a Lacrosse game!!!??[ did I spell it right? ]
the Natives played a Lacrosse game near the fort to trick the Brits
1.they invited the commandant, Etherington, to watch the game which they said was in honor of the King----???!!!
---yet the French had a great relationship with the Indians--and the Brits had just had the French and Indian War...the Indians were friendly with the French, but not the Brits
2. more than one person had warned Etherington
3. left the gates open/etc
...the Indians' Trojan Horse was a game of Lacrosse !!
they took the Fort/killed and captured Brits/etc
Deadly Lacrosse Game in Mackinac Straits at Fort Michilimackinac in 1763

the 2nd bigtime failure is the Camp Chapman attack
......the CIA, known for failures before, allowed a supporter of ''violent islamist causes''--- who they THOUGHT they had flipped to their side, ----to be in the same place as MANY CIA/etc personnel !!!!!!!!!!
this is against basic spycraft/intelligence/counter intel 101 rules
...if you have ever read about WW2 intel/counter intel/spies, one of the basic rules is not to let a double agent/turncoat/etc to even KNOW about other agents--let alone be ''in the same area with them''
WTH were they thinking on this one!!!????
this was STUPID
seems like these CIA people were not street smart/etc....

We didn't have a CIA in WW II; in fact we had no professional intelligence service at all, until Donovan formed one. So, yes, it was amateurish at the beginning. Britain, however, had one of the best in the world, and quickly got us up to speed, so no problem.

another major screw up by the CIA was the Bay of Pigs
