The numbers for the English economy came out this morning. Growth was 0.5%. Last quarter, it was -0.5%.

Their conservatives cut, but forgot about "investing". Oops.

Now, this time we need to invest in things that last and make the USA a stronger economy...things like education, health care, infrastructure. Things that serve the economy in the longer run, rather that JUST stimulate it in the short run.

Um, Really so the thousands of US workers in the Defense industry making those weapons Having a Job is not investing in the economy. IC. So stimulus giving some people temporary jobs is investment, but Buying arms from US companies isn't. Strange logic.

That's the thing about the defense industry..it's a dead end trade. While there is a need for it..it really shouldn't be as big as it is. They produce items, that if used, creates a huge money pit..and if not used..rots.
