This morning, "The Mooch" stated, "If Reince wants to explain he's not a leaker, let him do that." Why he thinks Priebus would even bother remarking on it is beyond me. But, hey, Priebus may not have yet developed the bearing attendant to his current station?
  • U.S. law operates on the principle of innocent until proven guilty. Unless and until charges are brought formally in either a court of law or a legislative or executive branch investigation, keeping mum is what anyone with any sense would do, especially someone like Priebus who doesn't in the matter have a political stake of their own.
  • If Priebus is charged with a felonious leak, he'll have to defend himself in court, but there again, there's nothing for him to gain by attempting to do so in the court of public opinion. He holds no elective office and his WH position is one that's performed away from the public spotlight.
  • Were/should Priebus to respond publicly in accordance "The Mooch's" exhortation, Priebus would accomplish little other than:
    • Dignify the remark, one that doesn't deserve it.
    • Give increased stature to a man who is Priebus' subordinate in the WH staff's org chart.

(Frankly, were I Priebus, I'd fire Scaramucci for insubordination, that or resign and lay bare before Congress and Mueller all I know and have heard regarding the "Russia" matter. I just wouldn't allow a loud-mouthed subordinate to get away with a public remark like Mooch has made, and I have more self-respect than to allow my boss to put me in a position where I had to suffer such a thing.)
    • Create yet another distraction from the substantive business of running the WH, implementing and promoting policy, and managing the nation and the federal government, which is what Trump and his WH staff need to do.

I hear The Mooch and Priebus don't get along so hot. First Scaramucci fires one of Priebus's buds, and now that he's going direct for Priebus doesn't surprise me in the least. Trump must have someone he'd rather put in the Chief of Staff spot.

Administrative infighting has been the hall mark of this Administration since day one. Not good.

deflection deflection deflection around every corner, deflection .... meanwhile the Trump Cartel investigations continue all ahead FULL !

Right wing national socialism should operate on informed consent.

Not as bad as you make out. It is going to take Trump some time to rid DC of scumbags. RINO's included.
Just as it is going to take the Dumbs time to get over the smell of Clinton garbage and death.
All the King's horses and all the King's men couldn't put a Clinton in the White House again.

You would do well to get your own house in order. You guys are a mess.

Trump made the mistake that he thought he could work with the 'moderates'.....problem is, they won't work with him.....but then that is a hallmark characteristic of progressives....

Moderates helped get Mr. Trump elected to public office.

some did.....not all....the Bush faction of the Party would rather have had the Clintonista elected....'moderate' is a pretty subjective term....

you have to be insane to put your fortunes in with the orange one.... zero loyalty to anyone.

Okay. But Trump's Priebus' boss. All he need do is ask for the man's resignation.

Trump demands loyalty but don't expect any from him.

Excuse me? What, pray tell, is positive, productive or professional about administrative infighting? Nothing! Moreover, it evinces a near to complete breakdown in the processes an organization needs to have flow organically smoothly to achieve its goals.

Given that "not as bad" is still bad, how bad it is is of no matter, particularly when, were they well led from the start and by a highly capable people and process manager, such a state would not ever have come to be. That, of course, is Trump's failing. Rather than being a sage and proactive captain, he's merely a rabble rousing admiral who's pretending his ship's not sinking. (Sailors who've captained yachts while cantankerous but otherwise non-mariner owners are aboard will know exactly what I mean. So will individuals who've been guests on such vessels and observed the owner throw a tantrum.)

Moderates helped get Mr. Trump elected to public office.

The Clintons set the tone early when they whacked Vince Foster for telling Hillary, "I'm going to talk to the FBI and clear up this whole 'Whitewater' business".

That got everyone in line
