De Blasio Orders NYPD to Avoid Arresting Students “Whenever Possible”
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says he has ordered police to avoid arresting students in the Big Apple “whenever possible,” especially if they are suspected of having committed “low-level offenses,” such as trespassing, vandalism, or pot smoking.
