DC Protests Draw 2 Million

2 Million??

I heard there were 2 Billion people there......why is the mainstream media hiding the true number???

2 million is the estimate given by the people who think the earth is 6000 years old. Number estimates seem to be a challenge for them.

On the other hand, there's this:

"Carrying signs depicting President Obama as Adolf Hitler and the Joker, and chanting slogans such as "'No big government" and "Obamacare makes me sick," approximately 60,000 to 70,000 people flooded Pennsylvania Ave, according to the Washington DC Fire Department."

Tea Party Protesters March on Washington - ABC News
Hmmm. I was there and I saw no 'hitler' sign. I'm wondering where this 'journalist' saw one? No proof.

But, we do have this from the opposition against the war:

So, we should write those Hitler-comparing anti-war protesters off as having no point? :clap2:

Now, what's your point?

Those ones who compared him to Hitler? Yup.

Writem off.

maybe you missed someone with an obama=hitler poster, you know, it is possible, there were millions after all.

The difference is in the numbers. 3 or 4 grinning lefty, elitist moonbats compared to millions of angry, every day Americans.

Maybe I did. One would think that a 'journalist' would at least provide some evidence of a claim s/he makes.

Now, assuming the report is correct - that there was a BHO/Hitler sign - what is your point? I'd prefer not to repeat my question yet again, but I can understand why you would want to dodge it.

The crowd was not 2 million. Since you were there, you know that.

you did not ask me anything before your last post.

my point? hmm, i guess i am trolling you with recycled right-wing talking points as already stated before. in your case your specious reasoning of "i was there and did not see anything hearsay" coupled with the "2 million protesters", hahaha.

There it is:
"Other signs - reflecting the growing intensity of the health care debate - depicted President Barack Obama with the signature mustache of Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler. Many made reference to Obama as a socialist or communist, and another imposed his face on that of the villainous Joker from "Batman.""

Thousands in D.C. Protest Gov't Spending - CBS News

Now, you're telling us it's a fact, even though I still see no evidence of a Hitler sign, but OK. That's settled.

Now, other than confirmation of BHO/Hitler signs in the crowd, what is your point? It's not a difficult question - asking one to articulate a point - but if you haven't one other than confirmation of a type of sign, I can understand.

I like what this guy had to say:

On 9/12, people in New York (and DC) did not feel as "great" as Glenn Beck. They just felt like shit. They felt scared and confused and depressed. Many of them were drunk. And only an idiot or an actual terrorist would want to always feel like it was 9/12/01. And eight years later, normal people, with brains and souls, have decided that some emotional distance from that disaster is healthier and wiser than trying to recapture the dread.

does it bother you when people speak up?.....OR is it because it is not your crowd doing the speaking?....but than again you just might be pissed because more people showed up than what you ever expected.....right...:eusa_eh:

Oh. That's the point to claiming there were a few Hitler signs there? That somehow means the crowd crowd was not 2 million?

Okie doke.

I think I prefer to believe the DC Police on the numbers.. but then again police just act stupidly now don't they? we don care about facts, we just know they act stupidly.:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Why should I care if 2 million people came to the protest?

Just cause there's a whole lot of them doesn't make them any more correct. This is just political grandstanding - organized by PACs who want to disrupt the president's agenda. (And don't bother screaming "they did it first" - I still don't care).

I'm not claiming the protests are "astroturf". I'm not claiming that the protesters are paid to be there. I'm not venting moral outrage at the organizers. I'm stating facts - these protests have been organized by well connected and funded groups with the intended purpose of disrupting the President, nothing more or less. I speak from a position of knowledge - I've organized many of this same sort of protest, many times.(Not quite on the same scale, of course).

This is just grandstanding. Just like the protests during Bush's term about the war - Did it stop the war? Of course not. Will these protests make any difference? Of course not.

well Doc.....this is the first time agree with ya.....i have always believed that, for the most part, protesting does absolutely nothing, and sometimes even makes their own cause look bad,if say, violence erupts...like Chicago '69.....
