The Associated Press: David Spade helps Phoenix police buy rifles

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Phoenix Police Department has gotten some high-powered goodies courtesy of actor David Spade.

The one-time Phoenix resident donated $100,000 so that the department can buy approximately 50 AR-15 rifles.

Personally never would have pictured this from Spade...

But nice support of the police, law and order, and a location that is close to your heart

    Bravo David

    Now thats giving back ...

I see commercials on wealthy people supposedly giving back!
Why is it when they make their fortune here in the US (because you can) they help other causes in other countries when people here are dieing and starving as well as cops being out gunned.

Kudos to Mr. Spade. An excellent way to give back!

But the more important issue - isn't it a crying shame that our law enforcement agencies are worse equipped than the criminals that they are supposed to fight!!

What a travesty that our local governments are dependent of charity to buy the things they need, or to provide the services the people need.

Kudos for Spade, of course, but honestly...how sad for all of us.

Why do the rifles cost so much?

I asked the same question when I read fifty AR-15's for $100,000.

You can buy a DPMS Panther Arms AR-15 for less than $700 brand new.

What a crock of shit. Liberals never did anyone any good except when they were singing, telling jokes or acting. When they get into politics, it's always bad.
