That must be one of those LBJ Democrats we have heard so much about.

Duke endorses Boris the Czar?

who knew?

Instead of diverting and trolling this thread - why don't you address the OP. What do you think about David Duke doing robocalls for Trump?

Who ir deverting tais troll thread?

Hey we are just pointing out the facts of the Democrat party and Hillary's love affair with Robert KKK Byrd.

Democrats begat the KKK.

True - then they either evolved like Robert Byrd or migrated into the Republican Party. It is well documented.

No Longer the Party of Lincoln: Here's Proof That the Modern Day GOP Built Itself on Racism
Lincoln was a white nationalist.

That was the norm for his day...He was just a little less radical and little more for human rights as he was a northern Republican.

TRUE

ORIGIN:Shortly after Donald Trump declined to condemn David Duke and the Ku Klux Klan during an interview on CNN's "State Of The Union" on 28 February 2016 (the Republican presidential candidate would laterblame it on a faulty earpiece) a photograph purportedly showing Hillary Clinton with former Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia, a former Ku Klux Klan member, was widely circulated online:

You might have had a point, but the trouble is that this story happened in 2016, but Robert Byrd died June 28, 2010.

That is the norm for sane white people today. The only difference between white nationalists today and Lincoln is that Lincoln was much more radical and wanted America to be an entirely white country by shipping the blacks back to Africa and pushing the natives into the sea.

You can't have it both ways and say that the GOP is no longer the party of Lincoln when Lincoln didn't believe in integration(or anything that either party believes today).

The republican party used to be the northern Industried party that was idiot slavery from 1860's up until the mid 20th centuries.

The democratic party in the late 19th into the 20th century had two partys.
-Democrats that weren't racist that lived in the northern parts of our country and the dixiecrats. The dixiecats lived 99% in the southern states!!!!

During the 60's, 70's and 80's the dixiecrats merged with the republican party as they hated what people like LBJ did for blacks through the civil rights act.

When the republican party flipped from being a northern anti-slavery and pro-rights party to one that made the south its base is the big difference.

Do you really fucking think that the pro-education, pro-science and pro-industry people that lived in the north still control the goddamn party? lol

During the 60's, 70's and 80's the dixiecrats merged with the republican party as they hated what people like LBJdid for blacks through the civil rights act.

Don't let facts get in your way bitch...

Jimmy Carter won the south

And only three dixiecrats left.

The rest remained democrats

Its all about history and not letting democrats try to rewrite it and get away with troll threads.

So...............trying in 2016 to associate Hillary with someone who died in 2010 isn't trying to rewrite history?

No, that is actual history. There are loads of Lincoln quotes to back that up too.

Abolitionists couldn't exactly sit on the fence on whether they wanted former slaves to join society or go back to the continent they were taken from, and Lincoln was convinced any kind of integration was impossible.

No. It's not actual history.

I've got three decades of professional historian work, much of it Civil War era, I work with the Smithsonian, LOC, museums, and historical societies for a living, so I think I know a little something about the subject.

Lincoln most certainly held some racist views, as did just about everyone at that time - but the Colonization plan (this is the important part) -- was:

Voluntary.

Very often, Lost Causers and those who use words like Lincoln the Tyrant (not saying you have) present an image of the Colonization plan (which was borne of the abolitionists) -- as one of a forced deportation. That's not true.

It would have been voluntary.

Considering the hundred years of rights denied to blacks after the Civil War, Lincoln was right when he said this in his meeting with the Committee of Colored Men - where he the addressed voluntary colonization plan that was adopted by people like Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and James Monroe:

"Your race are suffering, in my judgment, the greatest wrong inflicted on any people. But even when you cease to be slaves, you are yet far removed from being placed on an equality with the white race.

You are cut off from many of the advantages which the other race enjoy. The aspiration of men is to enjoy equality with the best, when free; but on this broad continent not a single man of your race is made the equal of a single man of ours. Go where you are treated the best, and the ban is still upon you."

Concerning Emancipation: Address on Colonization

Still, and famously: "I intend no modification of my oft-expressed personal wish that all men everywhere could be free." - Lincoln
