Conservatives rightly blast and reject the often repeated excuse from Hillary that she was ignorant of the implications of what she was doing. Wipe? What with a cloth? That coupled with the I don’t recall answer is deemed unacceptable. But cops, cops are supposed to be ignorant of how to do their jobs.

Jazz Shaw of Hot Air is practically apoplectic over a case involving child pornography. It seems you can beat the rap for having perverted child porn pics on your computer - Hot Air

Jazz Shaw argues there should be a good faith exception to the fruit of the poison tree argument. In other words. If the cops are too stupid to do their jobs right, then we should accept that they were trying, and throw the bad guy in prison anyway.

That is possibility the worst argument you can make. If a Doctor amputates the wrong limb we don’t excuse it with well, he meant well. If a school bus driver drops your kid at the wrong house you would not accept the I thought it was the right House excuse. But a cop who can’t do the job right, well that is just fine.

It is good to see that Jazz has the same assessment of law enforcement intelligence and competence as I do. Instead of demanding better performance, Jazz wants to lower the bar. If it is too hard for the mental midgets to do, we should give them a pass anyway. Sort of like social graduation for life.

In this case the FBI knew how to do the job right, and thought they were clever enough to find a workaround to the privacy requirements laid down by the courts. The workaround didn’t work when faced with judicial scrutiny and now we are supposed to reward people who knowingly set out to get around the rules.

It just isn’t fair Jazz wails. Well. It isn’t like these are new rules.
