What does getting a degree have to do with playing in the NBA?

If a 19 year old Drama major gets an offer to play in a major TV series or motion picture do we make them wait until they have graduated?

How about if an 18 year old Music major who is a piano prodegy and gets an offer to go on a worldwide tour? Do we make him wait until he graduates before he can make money?

When you are 18 you are legally an adult. Being an adult means you are allowed to make money at any profession you wish. So 18 year olds are allowed to work at McDonalds but not in the NBA?

If an 18 year old is offered millions of dollars to act, sing, play a guitar or shoot a basketball there is no legal reason they should be forced to wait until they are 21.

    It's you're, not "your."
