Well, sitting here in a motel room in Prineville, Oregon, getting ready for the final day examining the volcanics of the Crooked River Caldera. That is the seventh largest known caldera in the world. Only recognized in this century. Oregon has a wonderful volcanic landscape, with several calderas in it. The sixth biggest caldera, the McDermitt caldera, we share with Nevada. Been a very nice three days, weather on the warm side, light breezes moderating the heat, and good clarity to the air. For any interested, here is where you can find information concerning the Crooked River Caldera;

Enjoy!
