Creationists suffer another legal defeat

He asked for a link that shows a math teacher "teaching" creativity.

You fail!!

I don't know what's funnier, the fact you can't comprehend what you read or the idiots thanking you for the post.

The Swift Report: Math for Believers: 'Deometry' is Hot Subject for Fall

Forget about isosceles triangles and the Pythagorean Theorem—they're square. The hottest trend in high-school math these days is deometry, the study of how the Creator created points, lines, angles, shapes and proofs. While critics decry the entry of religion into math class, fans of the new teaching method maintain that by giving God a primary role in geometry and other fields of mathematics, they are merely restoring balance to an area that has sought to remove all vestiges of religion from the public polygon.

'On the fourth day God created the triangle'

TOPEKA, KS—It's back to school time and for Topeka High School freshmen that means geometry, a form of mathematics that has bedeviled high-school students since the beginning of time. But this year, the freshman class will be introduced to something different: deometry, the study of how the Creator created points, lines, angles, shapes and proofs.

The Bible is very educational, perhaps you should read it. I still don't see this as forcing a particular religious belief on anyone.

Does the Bible say that animals were created before Man was created, or does the Bible say that Man was created before the animals were created?

Or does it say both?

The Bible is very educational, perhaps you should read it. I still don't see this as forcing a particular religious belief on anyone.

Liar

You asked for proof that a math teacher was teaching creationism. I posted the proof, but you're too much of a liar to admit being wrong, so you "move the goalposts" and find something new to whine about

You're a coward

A asked for a link yes, but this guy isn't teaching creationism he's introducing deometry, the study of how the Creator created points, lines, angles, shapes and proofs. In all honesty it sounds like a bunch of made up mumbo jumbo. Can you cite a legitmate news source about this math teacher?

The Ten Commandments

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me” ( Exodus 20:3).

Unconstitutional. Government has no right to determine whether a person worships a Diety, or which Diety.

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image” ( Exodus 20:4).

See above.

“Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain” ( Exodus 20:7).

Unconstitutional. Freedom of speech. Besides, without a bit of cursing, nothing would ever be repaired.

“Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy” ( Exodus 20:8).

Whose Sabbath? Again, unconstitutional.

“Honour thy father and thy mother” ( Exodus 20:12).

Good advice, but how does one enforce that?

“Thou shalt not kill” ( Exodus 20:13).

That is common in almost all cultures and religions.

“Thou shalt not commit adultery” ( Exodus 20:14).

Again, not illegal now in most states, or Christian nations. Wise advice, but not for law.

“Thou shalt not steal” ( Exodus 20:15).

Again, common law to all cultures and religions.

“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour” ( Exodus 20:16).

Another one that is law in most cultures.

“Thou shalt not covet” ( Exodus 20:17).

What? Are you trying to destroy capitalism?

So we have three of the ten commandments that are actually reflected in law. At least four of the
commandments are unconstitutional.

Read the Bible and see for yourself.

Idiot. When will you learn to read?

The guy is from the Institute for Creation Science

For you "all honesty" means "no honesty"
You sound just like conjob. You ask for a link, and when you get a link, you reject it.

Hey moron!!

Trent Lott, Tom Delay, Judge Moore, and many other conservative morons have called for making the ten commandments law

Try not to lie so much

Sangha Thank you so much, that is the best Jesus freak burn I have ever seen. Would you be offended if I used it.

absolutely

in addition, the commandments that are NOT unconstitutional (killing, theft, bearing false witness) are concepts that were specified by both hammurabi and the greeks, both pre-dating the bible by hundreds/thousands? of years

actually, dumbass, there are LOTS of people who say that

pat robertson, the 700 club, the christian coalition, focus on the family, the ACLJ and 20 million evangelicals say it all the time

the dominionists are actively working to litigate the 10 commandments and the bible

Why are you mad at Texas when they discriminate against gays, but cheer when they discriminate against Christians? Just odd

It's nice to see that the nutters don't necessarily represent the whole state. This is not discrimination against Christians, any more than telling a German teacher he can't teach holocaust denial would be discrimination against Germans. It's standing up against the accreditation of provably false theories.

Where does the Bible say that 6000 years old, that evolution is not real, or that the moon produces light?

:eusa_eh:

have you not read it?

More than once, which is why I am positive that it says none of those things. Since you claim it does, please let me know what version of the Bible you are reading, and what verses say those things.

They have arrived at the circa 6000 years number by taking the ages of the fictional characters in the Bible; Take Adam's age, add everyone he begat and they begat and so on, and you arrive at roughly 6000 years. The story of Genesis states that man was created the day after animals... Or the day before, I can't remember... Which negates evolution. Not sure about the moon producing light one.
