Crazy Project

Istanbul will be divided by a second Channel.
It will be 25 meter deep, 150 meter width and 45 km long.
The channel will go through the Thracian side of Istanbul and will connect Black sea with Marmara Sea.
Bosphorus is one of busiest waterways in the world and all traffic will be relocated to the new channel, through which 300.000 Tonnes DWT Ships will be able to pass.

Region's biggest airport with 60 million capacity, new harbour will be built on side of channel with financial and congress districts.
All modern features of a city will be relocated and historical city-center preserved.

Erdogan has it just announced in press-conference.
There was also a Computer Animation displayed how the project looks.
That video might get online in a while.
