Morgan is not a news man.... any more than Limbaugh , Colbert, etc.

Morgan does offer commentary, but his show has guests on various issues that he interviews - sounds a bit like a newsman/commentator.

He lacks any semblance of objectivity. Hence, not a newsman.. just your garden variety hack pretending to be a journalist.

By your standard of objectivity who exactly would qualify as a newsman?

I would disagree that he is not a newsman in any sense of the word. He interviews people on noteworthy topics and that is news. I agree that he is not a newsman in the traditional sense of digging up the facts on a story.

Brits have responded to the petition calling on the White House to deport Piers Morgan for his anti-second amendment stance by lodging a petition of their own with UK Home Secretary Theresa May entitled ‘Stop Piers Morgan from being deported back to the UK from America’.

The original petition to deport Morgan for his unconstitutional rhetoric following the Sandy Hook school shooting has now achieved almost 70,000 signatures, well beyond the 25,000 required to mandate a White House response.

However, a counter-petition which features on the change.org website calls on the UK government to prevent Morgan from returning to the UK.

“We got rid of him once and why should we have to suffer again. The Americans wanted him so they should put up with him. We washed our hands of him a long time ago,” the petition reads.

No reasonable person could consider Britain primarily communist or Muslim. No oer on this thread is declaring Piers Morgan a gifted, respectable voice of reason.

Is Piers Morgan a US citizen? Right to vote, or nationally soap box about our laws?

If not, he should totally fuck off. If the Brits dont want him back, send him where ever a warm welcome might be possible....like the US torture site in Poland.

Non-citizens are just as entitled to First Amendment protections and due process as citizens; even undocumented immigrants are guaranteed due process rights.

Of course if Morgan were saying nice things about guns and gun owners, you’d want to make him a citizen.
