in this case, the IAEA are the good guys. Its very well possible Iran is going to get a shallacking in world opinion in March when the report is released, especially if they keep pissing the Nobel-Prize winning inspector off.

You know reading this thread makes me think of that Megadeth Song "Countdown to Extinction" Because that is essentially what is going on here.

I hate the idea of war. But you cant negotiate with some governments. We've been having hostile relations with Iran and threats against us and our allies since the Carter administration. All we have really done is threaten them with more threats. How many years of talks does it take before people begin to realize they aren't listening and by refusing to actually do something we are nearing the time when a radical and hostile regime has nuclear weapons.

With the Soviets we can alteast look to the fact that they wanted to avoid being destroyed as much as we did. But we cant count on that fact with Iran or any other radical muslim regime. These are the same people that have no problem strapping bombs to themselves and killing innocents. They arent worried about dying. With such a mindset these kind of people are the last ones we want to have Nuclear weapons. Because they would be more likely to use them.

The time for the UN dance was a few years ago, problem was, they weren't making the noises then. Now it's too late to wait while they fiddle.
