If it was meant for the Militia only, then 2nd amendment would read, the right of the Militia to keep and bear arms. Instead, it says the right of the people to keep and bear arms.
When you read all the Founders letters, they clearly meant for the people to keep and bear arms.
The Founders wanted an armed population, so that if the Government ever became Tyrannical or start to turn to a Dictatorship. The people could over throw it.
It was intended for Government to fear the people, not for the people to fear the government. Which is what we have become. We the people now fear the Government.
They were never suppose to have that type of power over us.
