I went back to Skyline, and stumbled across a Corvette meet.

Enjoy! (And Darin, just remember to look at them outside of work)

Can anyone get all the model years right?

How'd I do?
I think maybe you have the numbers mixed up? You didn't even get to #6.

I don't know exact model years, but I do know the range for each body style. Anyone who does know exact model years, what tips you off?

You are right. Here you go. Usually, the only difference is a tailight or a piece of molding.

1)'67
2)'66
3)'70
4)'69
5)'61
6)'72

The only 'Real' Corvetts were built between 1954 and 1964...the rest are junk...

well maybe the 65&66 are barely passing...Owned and built a 57' vette back in the day...283 bored out to 292 deuce(2) webber 4bbl double pumpers...high performance cam,Johns pop up pistons...411 posi traction...short shift Hurst 4spd...it rocked...but y'all children will tell me I am wrong...LOL!

I'm not ready to call you wrong, but what makes you think anything after 64 is junk? Body style? Engine choice? Just wondering what you don't like about them.

Do you think the current 'vettes are junk?

Look, I'm not trying to start another spat here. So please leave your past troubles with whoever out of it. Thanks.

All I was wondering was if there were specific things that you didn't like, or if it was just "oh I don't like the new styles, it looks junky" and "oh I, in general, don't like the new engine"

I was just curious if you had specific gripes, or generic ones. You seem to have generic ones. Cool.

Are you any good at guessing vintages? Or only for '54-'64?

The new C6 will do 184mph off the showrom floor. Anything with that performance can't be considered junk. Personally, I'm a fan of the Stingray generation. The generations after that have been watered down with inferior design and inferior parts. In partiular, the electrical systems. Anyone who has owned a Silver Anniversary can attest to this. However the C5 and C6 have returned the 'Vette to the days of balanced performance and style. IMO, the Stingray's are the jewel of the 'Vette family though.

I lost interest after 64'...my best guess for #5 would be a cherry 58...first year of the dual headlights...could be a 59,60 or 61 though!
