Correcting the Laughable Self-Delusions of Left-Wingers

He would be crucified by the GOP of today for not being a hateful whiner and for his willingness to work with Democrats

Um...yeah. It's Republicans who won't work with Democrats, that's the problem. What a partisan Democrat you are, pathetic. You just carry their water for them
:badgrin::badgrin::badgrin::badgrin:

I write a hagiography of Reagan, and from this you conclude I am a Democrat. BWA-HA-HA-HA!

You just can't fix that kind of stupid.

The Republicans of today aren't worthy of carrying Reagan's water. They pay hypocritical lip service to him, but have NONE of his qualities.

Maybe you were a Republican in the 80s, I was. I"m not now, you don't have to be either. But now you look at DC and the zero compromise Democrats and you blame the Republicans? The Republicans keep caving and giving away the store, the Democrats have given them zero. Face it, you're a Democrat ho. You bought it, own it. You're ridiculous

When you read the posts of Left-wingers it is unmistakable they dwell and wallow in self-delusions in almost very aspect of American affairs. It's so bad it is hard to even know where to begin correcting the record.

Maybe REAGAN is a place to start?

Libs on Reagan: he's the father of "trickle-down" economics and they still blame him for Obama's failures today
FACTS: SO MANY Democrats voted for Reagan's policies in congress the term Reagan Democrat was coined to describe them. Reagan's margin of popular-vote percentage of 9% and 18% dwarf Obama's 3% and 7% popular vote victory margins

Progs hate Hate HATE Reagan because he called their home team an "Evil Empire", vowed to defeat them and went ahead and collapse their Evil Empire. He defeated the USSR so badly he left them only one play, take up Ted Kennedy's 1984 offer to have them take control of the Democrat Party

Reagan had nothing to do with the collapse of the Soviet Union. Here's the truth. We had already won the cold war before Reagan took office. All Reagan needed to do was continue the tried and true containment policies Harry Truman began and all subsequent presidents employed. The Soviet Union was already collapsing from within and the CIA told this to Reagan when he took office. You think the Soviet military was tough? they couldn't even make a dent in the Afghanistan war. When they lost they seriously thought they were going to have a revolt in SE Asia.
Reagan was a wacko in how he handled those affairs and he took brinkmanship to a new art form. If Yuri Andropov's health had held we probably would have had WWIII.

LOL!

What a rube!!

LOLOLOL!!!

OMFG The CIA was caught totally flat footed when the USSR collapsed, they never saw it coming!

You're such a tool!

Reagan was a great man who stood for freedom and liberty, took a bullet for his beliefs, and pressed on to complete the mission the mission God set him to.

The love you have for the USSR is palpable

The Russians are just as dangerous as they ever were. Reagan won nothing. Wasted a lot of money winning nothing.

Zero compromise Democrats? The Senate sent a bi-partisan immigration bill to the GOP House and Boehner wouldn't allow a vote on it.

The GOP filibustered a background check gun bill that had 90% support from the American people.

Reagan defeated the Left's home team and freed hundreds of million from the dehumanizing opression of the Soviet Communist our Leftist Useful Idiots Love and Admire, they'll never forgive him and I think everyone in liberated Eastern Europe is OK with that

He fooled us 35 years ago

Why are we continuing his failed policies today?

that's a question for yourselves genius; Dems also voted for Bush's policies and continued even continue nearly every single one of them today

so I guess better question is why are you dimwits whining about things you STILL vote for?

You might want to brush up on geography and world events since the 80's.

Why should they when it's Dems who would not allow any Repubs input into Obama Care

A completely bogus meme parroted by clueless rubes.

Name any polices of Republicans from 2009 and 2010 that is in the Affordable Health Care Act.

The policies that the Dems rejected were -
Tax incentives, Allow insurance companies to sell policies across state lines, Tort reform, Health savings accounts, Creation of high-risk pools, Allow trade associations and small business to purchase insurance as a group.
There was about 26 introduced that was rejected by the Dems.

"....one amendment offered by Oklahoma's Tom Coburn requires members of Congress and their staff to enroll in the government-run health insurance program. Another, sponsored by Lamar Alexander of Tennessee, would "establish an auto advisory council to make recommendations to the Secretary of the Treasury regarding how best to represent the taxpayers of the United States as the majority owner of General Motors." An amendment written by North Carolina's Richard Burr requires that "a private plan would be exempt from any federal or state requirement related to quality improvement and reporting if the community health insurance option is not subject to the specific requirement."

The list goes on. An amendment from Mike Enzi of Wyoming promises "to protect pro-patient plans and prevent rationing." Another of his would "prohibit the government run plan from limiting access to end of life care." An amendment from New Hampshire's Judd Gregg "requires all savings associated with follow-on biologics to go towards deficit reduction."

There are some technical-seeming amendments, too. For example, an amendment from Burr (which was accepted) says, "On line 23 after 'groups' insert 'and reduces the cost of health care.' " Another amendment, proposed by Coburn, "[d]efines [the] average work week as 40 hours." Slate examines the GOP amendments to a Senate health care bill.

Not one Republican voted for it.
Reminder Obamacare passed without a single Republican vote The Oregon Catalyst
Democrats ignored the plans offered by Republicans at the time – including the House GOP plan drafted by Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) and The Patients’ Choice Act of 2009 introduced by U.S. Senators Tom Coburn, M.D. (R-OK) and Richard Burr (R-NC) and U.S. Representatives Paul Ryan (R-WI) and Devin Nunes (R-CA).

Which party has blocked a roll back of those policies?

Purely political moves. The Republicans knew it was going to pass and not a single vote from them was necessary for passage. So they took a principled stance and withheld support hoping that they could derail it down the road, which today upon reflection makes their move look both partisan and stupid.

Obamacare was passed with an overwhelming majority of the vote. It was not even close
