Conyers: No Point In Reading the Healcare Bill...

Wouldn't you think that at a National Press Club gathering someone could have said, " Why must the bill be so complicated? Why not write a bill that Congress can understand?" The press has become a national joke.

Exactly. Conyers is right about needing time and interpreters in order to understand the bill, though. Of course, the larger the bill and the more difficult it is to understand, the less likely anyone will wade through it. Sounds familiar.

I think all bills should be published in everyday common language (not legalize) and before any member of Congress votes on a bill they should be required to swear on an oath of honesty that they have read every page of the bill.
