consumer confidence hignest since 10/2007

And what would your point be, given the election is still five months out ?

When Santorum dropped out and Newt folded, the RealClear Election Map had Obama with 270. He's has since lost about 50 of those. And they haven't given Romney N.C. or Florida yet. When they do, it will be almost a tie. Michigan just came out of the Obama camp into the Toss Up camp.

Directionally, Obama is screwed.

And the telephone company is ahead in most poles.

This was also from the article.
Still, consumers face plenty of challenges, Lei noted, such as weak wage growth, rising student loan debt, and a poor housing market.

All it will take is another financial screw up in Greece or some other part of Europe or some kind of crisis in the middle east to change that real fast the fighting in Syria and the possible results of the elections in Egypt come to mind.

Seriously, are you retarded? Why wouldn't increased consumer confidence also be reflected in the election polls?

The only retard here is you.

Those polls are likey showing an increase due to nothing Obama has done, but in spite of him. Directionaly he is losing the ground he had and things are not going well for him. It is looking like the senate will turn for the GOP. Even if he gets elected, he is going to be dogged. And forget appointing any more libs to the court.

We have just had the fastest 6 month drop in unemployment since 1984.

Obama is the Democrats Reagan.

The Dow just reached a 4 year high. The Nasdaq just reached an 11 year high.

Obama is the Democrats Reagan.

People are starting to look forward to the departure of Obama in January.

Knowing that things will turn around, they are already feeling pretty good about things.

Of course, Obama won't talk about the economy. He's more interested in gay marriage.

Thanks Romney. You're not even elected yet and things are changing already.

Let's just HOPE that Obama does not take his one-way trip to Chicago (with Valarie Jarrett in the trunk) to personally.

Obama is not going anywhere.

Obama talks about the economy all the time.

Why are you lying about Obama?

He's a one-termer Chris. The writing is on the walls.

Five months from now, we'll stick a fork in him cuuse he is done.

Obama only talks about Romney's time at Bain. That and gay marriage.

You are the one who is lying. You told us Scott Walker was going to be recalled.

0 for 20. Not doing so hot are you ?

Consumer Confidence Unexpectedly Cools in May | Fox Business
U.S. consumer confidence unexpectedly cooled in May, falling to the lowest level in four months as Americans became more pessimistic about the job market and economic outlook, according to a private sector report released on Tuesday.

The Conference Board, an industry group, said its index of consumer attitudes fell to 64.9 from a downwardly revised 68.7 the month before, short of expectations for a gain to 70.0.

It was the lowest level since January. April's figure was originally reported as 69.2.
dumbass.

Yeah it seems the OP in this thread is ignoring the trend.
