Constitution? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Constitution

Constitution? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Constitution - Big Journalism

Here is the money quote that tells it all:

YouTube - Phil Hare doesn't care.

What gets me is his cowardice when he is confronted with his lying. He takes the out of all outrageous liars. We have all met them. They tell ridiculous lies but demand we all believe them implicitly. When you "dare" not to believe them, they become outraged. (Bill Clinton springs to mind, in that category).

So, he just trounces out because he knows he can't defend his outrageous lie, but he is still furious, they didn't believe it.

"Do you KNOW what I do for a living? Peasant! How DARE you question me on the bill!"

They really nailed him on this video. I love it.

We need to get every one of those louses that voted for the bill on video, just like this and put them on the internet for everyone to see and remember for election time.

November 2 is coming people, and I can't wait! :clap2:

And this surprises you? I take that you never saw the poll that said most congresspeople couldn't tell you which provision of the constitution provided authority for what. I suppose that neither did you hear about the POTUS declaring that the constitution was just a piece of paper.

As for congress, they have LOOOOONG relied on the SUPREMES to tell then whether or not any law they passed was constitutional or not.

Relax Vanquish, there are other Constitutionalists watching your back who don't take sides but see the hypocrisy of both parties, too. Don't let these others upset you by misprojecting their displaced disgust, as they are just as upset for equal good reason. As a liberal progressive member of the Democratic Party, I am just as frustrated with the sold out politics (first selling out the black vote, then the peace vote and the green vote, and now the health vote) and see that this legislation is a FU bastard of "corporate socialism" or the very worst of capitalism and socialism together. So of course there is major upset on both sides, with no one to blame but either themselves or each other, whichever is more convenient.

Stay focused on the Constitution, defend common interests and values in all people from all sides, and you will eventually align on principles and overcome division by party politics.

If you want to talk live on national radio or chat with an open forum of moderates, both liberal, conservative and radical extremes, you can check out chrisxradio.com or stickam.com/chrisxradio The host is a radical moderate who leans conservative. I lean liberal progressive and we both agree this bill is unconstitutional and fails at its purpose.

Stop playing "gotcha" and actually have an intellectually honest conversation for a second. You're doing a great job of getting my blood boiling...because it's taking every ounce of patience not to just go all insulty on your ass.

I didn't waffle. The representative said on the video that they said it. If you're taking as golden everything that's on that video...then take that to the bank! He accused them of calling him a Nazi (on tape) and they didn't refute it, did they?

Just because it's not on tape doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I swear to God, immature people like you are what make forums like this entirely worthless sometimes. Even worse, your partisan hackery...instead of trying to work and concede things...make trying to reach middle ground frustrating...and it makes the two sides get farther and farther apart. This kind of bullshit is why TeaParty people are thought to be whackos...

Seriously. You've all learned to dig in your heels and circle-jerk yourselves. And the more you do it...the more you feel like you're God's chosen and you're making headway...the more you just want to steamroll people.

Yes, the Tea Party needs to stay independent and stick with Constitutional arguments that apply to all people and parties; and not sell out to Republican lobbying for office, like the Democrats who hijacked the peace vote to get Obama in office just to support the same defenses that any President ought to reinforce in wartime. Stick to the issues and solutions. Partisanship detracts from the arguments and corrections that any official should uphold.

Which is total CRAP.
This is why the states should convene a constitutional convention - to rid themselves of such dubious interpretations that are used to burden people with socialist policies.

careful what you wish for...

the second amendment could get a big delete at a constitutional convention.... as could freedom of speech.
Only if the Yankee socialist retards are the only ones attending.
The last time there was a serious chance of the states using that power the government caved, so they might do the same this time - representatives from states can be counted on to look after the rights of states, not the central government. That is why the feds would react to such a possibility with due concern.

What would the libtards in New York do if a constitutional convention negated the whole shebang and had all fifty states go their separate ways? What could happen too. That seems FAR more likely than them deleting freedom of speech.

what seems FAR LESS likely is any neo-con-stitutional convention pipe dream. you could put that bullshit back in your pocket.

jillian's right, a modern rehash of the constitution would not uphold the values of ruralites who live far closer to the lifestyles of our farmer founders. your new yorkers and other urban voices would certainly weigh in heavily where they werent spoken for in the 1780s.

what is that, like the humpty dance?

Of course you're blood is boiling, because I won't let you get away with typical liberal smears.

The Democrat said so! That's your evidence?:lol::lol::dig:

He already LIED on tape about reading the bill and we are supposed to trust him regarding who called him a Nazi?

He out and out LIED! No one could have read that bill but he expected us to believe him and when challenged, he got huffy and flounced out. But we are supposed to take his word someone called him a Name?

BWAHAHHAAHAHAAA! YEAH RIGHT! :dig:

Sorry but this is not the first case in the last two weeks of Democrats claiming tea partiers called them something and when challenged on that, had ZERO EVIDENCE to back it up.

So boil your blood away, but your argument is TOTAL BS.

Boo freaking hoo that you don't like hearing that.

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Where in the Constitution is there any authority for this bill?

The Commerce Clause.

Another thing - what is the origin of the phrase, "at the point of a gun," that is tossed about so freely by rabid conservatives, opposed to the bill? It certainly does not mention anything about "at the point of a gun" in the bill itself.

What is the origin of that phrase, other than from the inflammatory brain of some right wing strategist, bent on mischaracterizing the health care bill?

WHAT???????

The interstate commerce clause says the government can FORCE you to buy something?????

What the hell????????

PLEASE try to explain that one. I would LOVE to hear you try and explain that one.

And if the government is forcing you to do something it is at the point of a gun. It's not like the government has never done that before.

You have lost this argument ever before you opened your mouth. SCOTUS will toss out the suit and refuse to hear it. Yep, son, you get to be part of America.

Um, since I'm not arguing that SCOTUS will do otherwise, I'm sorry but this is a lame liberal tactic and I call BS.

When liberals are losing they change the argument and then claim that was really YOUR argument (and you are losing on it).

I haven't argued what the USSC will do. I simply pointed out, it took years but the USSC finally tossed out McCain/Feingold.

That may be the case again on this bill, since there is NO place in the Constitution where it says they can force you to buy insurance.

But then again, there was no place in the Constitution that gave them the right to force McCain Feingold on us, but it took years before the USSC finally came to it's senses.

Remember people it was the USSC that ruled blacks were only 3/5 of a citizen and also argued that separate but equal was okay.

The USSC said Roe V. Wade was Constitutional and even those who agree with abortion have admitted it was terrible law.

So, sorry that tactic is a huge fail on your part.

This healthcare bill may become reality, but that doesn't mean it can't be repealed, and that legal precedent has been set before.

The only thing that surprises me is Democrats are finally being open about their disdain for the Constitution.

They have become so arrogant that they really don't know how they sound to the voter.

And I hope they don't figure that out until long after 2010 and 2012.

;)

:eusa_hand: you're hacking it up, samurai. they didnt 'toss out' mccain feingold entirely.

the HC bill doesnt require individuals buy anything.

I don't give a damn about the parties, other than I know you can't trust Democrats period.

They are liars. They always have been liars, and they never win without lying.

I grew up in the South and I'm almost 50 years old. I have SEEN what Democrats are really like.

The ugly segregationist, KKK Democrats, who then turned around and said it was really Republicans like that, while still voting into office people like Robert Byrd.

The Democrats haven't changed their playbook in 40 years. The only thing that amazes me is how many STUPID IDIOTIC PEOPLE there are that still get fooled by that playbook.

I also know what the Republicans are like. They are arrogant, country club, blue blooded elites like John McCain. That is the Rockefeller arm of the party.

The only way to change that is vote CONSERVATIVE. But don't trust Democrats who say they are conservative.

They have been pulling that one since I was a kid and they always turn into far left liberals the minute they get into office.

Don't trust every Republican who says he's conservative. He can turn out to be a Lindsey Graham or John McCain.

We are going to have to demand more.

Maybe, just maybe, people are finally going to wake up to that reality.

the HC bill doesnt require individuals buy anything.

A) They tosed out the part that was objectionable which was stopping grass roots organizations from advertising 60 days before an election. Something sarcastically known as the "incumbent protection act."

B) YES the law does require you to buy insurance.

You'll see.

There you go. Becoming more of a douchebag, hurling insults (like I've just now stooped to doing) from behind the anonymity of the internet.

You haven't done jack shit but convince me that you're ignorant, not willing to have a reasonable debate, and that you can't be objective.

YOU were the one that wanted to stick to what was on the video...then when I point out what was on it...YOU waffle. Nice job.

I swear to fucking god it's complete asswipes like you that make it so no one can have a decent debate in this country.

The point of a gun is a simple concept. Government has the power to force you to do what it wants or throw you in jail. That means they will be sending their enforcers to arrest you. These enforcers have guns and will use them to enforce the governments will.

You will be forced to comply at the point of a gun.

Try not paying income taxes. The people sent to arrest you for that crime will carry guns.

Try to collect the amount you were guaranteed when the government forced you to make Socialist Security "investments" and are now denied because you decided to also invest your own money for retirement. The people sent to arrest you for that crime will carry guns.

Exercise your constitutional right to bear military grade arms by purchasing a heavy Ma Deuce 50 cal machinegun. The people sent to arrest you for that crime will carry guns. A lot of GUNS

As the hero of one of our current president's advisers once said "All political power comes from the barrel of a gun"
The government sure seem to believe that "truth" even if they forgot some of the self evident ones our founding fathers recognized.

Our Founding Fathers recognized that self evident truth as well, so they carried guns when they went to war with Great Britain. To suggest that the technological age should some how not change the odds remains a ridiculous assumption. Charles, the government has jet fighters, tanks, and nuclear weapons. Thus, it follows: you want a constitutional democratic republic that functions?, we all have to be informed and involved. Unfortunately, most Americans simply don't care.

stucker, its called the rule of law. the founders werent amiss of that either. what, do you think i havent noticed the government is heavily armed? its just the neocon that runs around claiming the sky is falling because he cant buy a gatling.
