lyrics "Constitution Song" to the tune of Hallelujah:

I heard there was a Natural Law
That governs man as one with God
And this is what inspired our Constitution

But slavery was a major flaw
Dividing States that went to war
Still fighting to this day for resolution
Our Constitution, our Constitution
Can we unite in peace behind our Constitution?

Jefferson spoke of government
Deriving power from our consent
Where liberty is a human institution.
For equal justice under law
Due process must protect us all
By limits given in our Constitution.
Our Constitution, our Constitution
Can we restore the meaning of our Constitution?

If we want equality, we live this in society
The Golden Rule applies with no exception
We get the Justice that we give:
Die by the sword, or choose to live
In peace, and stop the endless retribution
Our Constitution, our Constitution
Can we respect each other by our Constitution?

In science, it's effect and cause
Or karma by the Eastern laws
We reap, we sow, while seeking absolution
Justice for All, called by the name
Of Jesus Christ, it's still the same:
The laws of God and man in perfect union.
Our Constitution, our Constitution
Can we agree on truth behind our Constitution?

Our Constitution, our Constitution
Can we fulfill the promise in our Constitution?
Our Constitution, our Constitution
Can we achieve the purpose in our Constitution?

Just heard from a Native American singer/songwriter who is incredible
on flutes and sharing stories and wisdom from some of the oldest teachings.

He said that in addition to the Constitutional concepts of
"all men created equal" and a union of states under PEACE coming from the Iroquois
Iroquois Confederacy | American Indian confederation

Two other major concepts not equally adopted and fully realized were
* planning for future generations (ie "seventh generation" type thinking)
* equality of women along with men

I think planning for future generations WAS included,
and we can use the Constitutional process to reform and correct things.
