History revisionism will get much easier when the children start using Kindle type devices in school instead of textbooks.

Negged for lying...

And you have a problem with this why??

“The thing we need to focus on about the founders is that, given the social structure of their time, they were revolutionaries who brought liberty into a world where it hadn’t existed, to everybody — not all equally instantly — and it was their progress that we need to look at,” said Rounds, whose website identifies him as a Vietnam War veteran of the Air Force and FedEx retiree who became a lawyer in 1995.

Revisionist History.... it's what they do best...Nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to the damned crazies(not that all of them are...some are just along for the ride).

Actually what the article said was they wanted to mute the fact that the founding fathers owned slaves to read the OP claim someone would get the distorted view that they were calling for all mentions of slavery to banned from textbooks.

The full article:

As a result, the Tea Party organizations argue, there should be “no portrayal of minority experience in the history which actually occurred shall obscure the experience or contributions of the Founding Fathers, or the majority of citizens, including those who reached positions of leadership.”

“The thing we need to focus on about the Founders is that, given the social structure of their time, they were revolutionaries who brought liberty into a world where it hadn’t existed, to everybody — not all equally instantly — and it was their progress that we need to look at,” Rounds explained of his interpretation of the legacy of the Founding Fathers.

The issue of revising curriculums to teach history in a manner that encourages the glossing over of the uglier factors of the past has popped up in other states over the past year.
