Conservative/right remains biggest ideological group, libs/left still oh so small

Conservatives Continue to Outnumber Moderates in 2010
Long term, Republicans growing more conservative, Democrats more liberal.

The political composition of U.S. adults held fairly steady in 2010 compared with 2009. Conservatives remained the largest group, followed by moderates and then liberals. At 35%, the percentage of moderates has declined to a new low, highlighting the increased political polarization that has occurred over the past decade.

While the political pendulum in Washington can swing widely, Americans' political ideology, like their party identification, tends to shift more gradually. Such a shift has been underway in recent years. While the changes are not large, they are unmistakable. Moderates are growing fewer in number while the percentages of conservatives and liberals have expanded. Conservatism has gained ground among Republicans and independents, while the growth in liberalism is strictly among Democrats.

Who gives a crap? That just means ya got a whole bunch of people sitting around congratulating themselves, and not a lot new ideas and concepts being brought up and thought about.
Id rather NOT be a part of that group, thanks. Thats just too boring.

The Left has very little ideology which is one of the major differences between the Right and Left. When a potential solution to a problem is proposed, the Left looks at current facts, scientific evidence, economic data, and public opinion with little regard for our history. The Right looks at our history, the Constitution, the Bible, and beliefs of our forefathers.

The Right tends to pass all potential solutions to problems through an idealogical filler. The Left looks at facts to come up with a solution. The Right looks to it's idealogical beliefs for solutions. I believe this is why the Left is more likely to compromise with the Right. There beliefs are not well rooted in political dogma but subject to change as conditions change.

I have spend a number of years in both parties and to me this seems to be the primary difference between Right and Left.

"The Right looks at our history, the Constitution, the Bible, and beliefs of our forefathers."

Not really, though. Just in rhetoric. Do they have concern for "widows and orphans" or "the alien among you"?

I think not o_0

Then you sir, are very wrong, and needed to spend more time in the Jackass Party to finally see the real them.

The left is ruled by their ideology, class warfare, socialist income redistribution (ROBBERY), punishing and discouraging success, reverse racism, they live and breathe for that all. They worship the STATE and only look at science that forwards their radical agenda that shits on and tries to oppress Christianity.

Thats because they're alot of dumb Americans that listen to Fox News saying Liberal like its a bad word. Yet the very meaning of the word is quite different than the perception:

Liberalism (from the Latin liberalis, "of freedom")[1] is the belief in the importance of individual liberty and equal rights.[2] Liberals espouse a wide array of views depending on their understanding of these principles, but most liberals support such fundamental ideas as constitutions, liberal democracy, free and fair elections, human rights, capitalism, free trade, and the separation of church and state.

We believe in capitalism and we believe that regulation is necessary and fair to keep businesses honest and so they don't screw the consumer.

We believe that all humans are created equal, and all must have equal rights.

We believe that the United States is a neutral religion state and should always stay that way.

We believe in free and fair elections, no we do not all commit voter fraud, that is a farce created by the right to commit election fraud and prevent people in poorer communities from voting.

We believe that if anyone is poor and wants to move up the social ladder, they should be given the tools to be successful. They should be able to have a living wage, education credits so they can attain a better life for their family.

We believe in the good of mankind that everyone deserves a chance to be someone. We believe in the American Dream.

Republicans don't believe in any of these.

THAT'S CLASSIC LIBERALISM, in the mold of Jefferson, and his sort. Sadly they are a rare breed now. It's obvious you aint one either.

We believe in capitalism and we believe that regulation is necessary and fair to keep businesses honest and so they don't screw the consumer.
So all why the OVER regulation? Why is the federal government taking over the auto and health care industry? Big corporations achieved success on their own, they should fail on their own, tax payers did NOT wanna bail them out, never did, NEVER will. Obamacare is UNconstitutional btw.

We believe that all humans are created equal, and all must have equal rights.
Then why do yall keep harassing and attempting to persecute Christians, and any minority that aint a lefty?

:lol::lol::lol: Please, over the past decade there has been a clear and documented history of Jackass election fraud/cheating. From discarding military ballots that almost NEVER favor them, to ACORN, to Black Panther voter intimidation @ polls. Get real dude.:cuckoo:

We believe that if anyone is poor and wants to move up the social ladder, they should be given the tools to be successful. They should be able to have a living wage, education credits so they can attain a better life for their family.
And the government and tax payer should be solely responsible for payin for that BECAUSE? Where's that @ in the Constitution yall keep using as toilet paper?
We believe in the good of mankind that everyone deserves a chance to be someone. We believe in the American Dream.
Then please stop killing it with your obvious, sad, forced dependence on big, authoritarian, nanny state government over regulation.

Republicans don't believe in any of these.
After I just retruthed em, HELL NO we don't.

PS, your sig pic is epic fail LOL

No, the left is totally incompetent and a hazard to navigation but evil implies thought and purpose neither of which the left possesses so therefore the left cannot be evil.

Really. The Repukes vote more money for the people that presented us the economic meltdown, then deny health care to those that responded on 9-11.

Yes, people identify themselves as either conservative or liberal more often than they do RADICAL.

This is news?

The Right and the Left have a different approach to solving the problems our country faces. The Right looks to it's political and religious idealogical beliefs for solutions. The Left looks at the facts.

For example: If people are without food, the Left would give them food stamps. The Right would deny the food stamps believing that the people would find jobs and become self sufficient. The Right is looking to it's ideological beliefs for the solution. The Left is just looking for a way to feed hungry
people.

Self-sufficiency IS a BETTER way to feed the hungry, a non-dependent way.

Im not sure the left is doing that at all.

The difference betwene right and left is that the left is trying to treat symptoms, the right wants to combat the actual problems.

No mental gymnastics needed. Just common sense. That's because we don't have to justify ridiculous positions.

Ridiculous positions, you say? Actually, your camp attempted to do just that from Jan. of 2001 to Jan. of 2009.

Can anyone explain to me how spending money we dont have and taxing our children without their representation is good for our society?

Been doing it for decades, including and especially under your "infallible" Republican leadership. Why does it only need an explanation when a dem is in office?

Could anyone explain why we should ignore the limits the Constitution clearly puts on the Federal Government?

Right after you explain the endless array of examples under Bush, when it was all about "protecting our freedoms" by sacrificing them.

Or why corporations are evil yet LLCs or Partnerships arent? Or what's so bad about making a profit to take care of your family and keep your employees working?

You mean your Bangladeshi employees at 35 cents an hour?

Or why efficiency, honesty, and eliminating corruption is bad?

Yeah, ummmm, your heroes expand corruption by eliminating oversight at every turn. Especially in the financial sector. Deregulation was at the heart of Boy King's financial policy, so you're not fooling anyone. The right's situational ethics are showing again.

Or how about hard work? Why is it so bad to work for what we want?

You mean three part time jobs at Wal-Mart, Home Depot and Starbucks, because your small business can't compete with conglomerates who survive on part-time workers and have no unions to ever worry about?

Or why is it fair to take from people who work hard for their money to give to people who don't work at all? Merciful? yes, totally. But fair? heck no.

Gosh, I dunno. Maybe because their former job was sold to Hong Kong so the CEO could improve profit margin at the expense of American workers you're going on about?

Or why our politicians get away with taking our money by force and giving it to their power base when any normal person doing that would be doing 5-10 easily?

Well, politicians who are sincere about changing that somehow tend to go down in mysterious plane crashes.

I called that BS out then, Ima call it out now, as most REAL righties did/do.

Yeeea! Let's strangle the economy with more needless, baseless, authoritarian regulation! Let's take over the fast food industry next with a trillion tax payer dollars as opposed to leaving the regulations that are already strict enough the fuck alone!

If it wasn't for the MSM pushing their radical policies then the left would have even smaller support
