Conservative Message for 2010 Races

The conservative message from the people out here is:

What we have been doing for some time, and what we are doing now is not working.

So STOP! Just stop.

Rescind or repeal all legislation, regulation, policy that hasn't fully taken effect yet.

Dump all legislation that is in the planning stage or hasn't been voted on yet.

Don't work on any legislation that doesn't have to be worked on.

Go ahead and put together a budget that meets the bare minimum of what the government has to legally do and includes absolutely nothing that it doesn't have to do.

Then slowly, methodically, and deliberately focus on each problem we're dealing with that can't wait such as the oil spill in the gulf. Focus ALL our resources on such problems until they are solved.

Then slowly, methodically and honestly evaluate every program, policy, regulation, and initiative and make sure that the legislators are in tune with the people and are focused on actually fixing the problems. If they don't know whether it will work or not, don't do it.

Eliminate all programs, policies, regulations, or initiatives that are not living up to their advertising. Begin now to slowly, carefully, and incrementally phase out unsustainable entitlements so that we do not break faith with those we have made dependent on those entitlements.

And then do nothing that doesn't absolutely have to be done.

Everybody vote to accomplish the above.

Those planning to vote to punish a person, party, or ideology will be voting for more of the same no matter what your motives or intentions.

So the entire party platform should be "stop" and "don't"?

What do you mean "should be"? It already is....

Oh, and "Obama is a Socialist/Communist/Fascist"

For the Republicans to deliver the big win they hope for, they need a positive message. I think the public is tired of hearing about everything they are against.

It seems like they are against fixing every mess they created.

Still looking for the "Conservative Message".

Republicans celebrate in "We created a mess you can't fix"

Then do eerythin in their power to prevent you from fixing it

1. America is headed in the wrong direction

2. Repeal Obama's Agenda

Which is pretty much the message of the minority party, or non-incumbent candidate in any election. In '08 it was "America is headed in the wrong direction, repeal Bush's agenda." It was the same in '04, and probably the same in '00, except with Clinton.

And then they do wonders to actually fulfill the second one.

Oh, and "Obama is a Socialist/Communist/Fascist"

wrong again, he is a Marxist :)

Things Obama is working on, trying to fix or has already fixed:

1. Saving the economy
2. Getting out of Iraq and rebuilding Iraq
3. Winning in Afghanistan
4. Health Care for millions of Americans
5. Immigration
6. Nuclear Arms treaty
7. Deregulated Wall Street
8. Deregulated mining and oil industry
9. Tax breaks for companies moving jobs overseas

Does this list look familiar? It should. It's a list of the problems the Republicans left the country after having a Republican president for 8 long years.

And during those eight long years, look at the list of Republican accomplishments.

1. They captured and killed Bin Laden.
2. They did an amazing job cleaning up after Katrina
3. They brought democracy and freedom to Iraq, ask the women, the Christians and the gays.
4. They created 26 million new jobs

OK, OK, just kidding. I couldn't think of anything either.

Whats the point we had to sell our country and souls to every other part of the earth. Oh, and by the way the economy is still not even close to being fixed, Afghanistan is a mess, Iraq was already well on its way before Obama showed up, and lets just wait and see what really happens with the health care bill. I dont think its going to be that great. Actually, I doubt it touches many people.

I'm curious. "Iraq was already well on it's way", what does that mean? Women now have to wear Burkas, the Christian population has either fled, been converted to Islam by force or murdered. By constitution, Islam is the "national religion" and "all legislation is based on Islam", in this country, we call that a "theocracy", like Iran.

Thanks to Republican treaties and contracts, we are stuck rebuilding Iraq, even though they have tens of billions of oil money sitting in our banks. And we are contractually bound to give them that money. To me, Iraq is a terrible disaster. And please don't say "Well, we got rid of Saddam". I'm so sick of hearing that. It's like we replaced terminal cancer with terminal AIDS. At least they don't have cancer anymore.

so are we not getting out of Iraq? The post i commented on said getting out of Iraq. Didn't that start and is now well on its way? I didnt post shit about spending money i just said we are already started on getting out of Iraq and oh by the way please save you BS blame game for someone else. I dont really support democrats or republicans. I support a few of each party that actually have the balls to say the hard things that are true and will possibly cost them votes. Its all the republicans fault:eusa_boohoo::eusa_boohoo: Grow up, stop taking sides, and start questioning all of them. The sooner Americans start doing that the sooner those people will actually start working for the American people again.

Removing some troops is not getting out of Iraq. I suspect there will be bases there for decades and our soldiers will constantly get drawn into Iraqi conflict. They will be there protecting American corporations that are rebuilding the country on our dime.

And Iraq is absolutely the fault of the Republicans. Probably most of whatever either party does is based on "ideology". It's that ideology that draws people to those parties.

Just look at the polar opposite positions of the two parties.

One party is for corporations to the point of apologizing to those corporations for having to prosecute them for criminal acts they committed.

One party is so against government regulations, they see mining disasters and environmental catastrophe and economic ruin as an acceptable price to pay for not having regulations.

One party is made up of so many different groups, they have to negotiate twice, first, within their own party and second, with the opposing party. This gives the appearance of the party being weak and ineffectual.

Wow, we should start a blog on the differences between the two parties. We don't even need to say the name of the party to identify their beliefs.

I wonder how many of those unemployed 200,000 plus weekly who are being thrown under the bus are Republican? Think they'll vote Republican in the fall?

Good luck with that. According to their leader, "Afghanistan is Obama's war of choice"....somehow, I think the American voters are smarter than that.

Actually, Afghanistan was Bin Laden's "war of choice". I just can't figure out why Republicans turned their back on him and invaded the wrong country instead? Did they really get whatever they hoped to get out of Iraq?

And I certainly can't understand why American Christians turned a blind eye to the genocide of the Iraqi Christians.

last I checked, Hussein was still dead...soooo, I'd say yeah. They did get what they wanted.

Conservative Message for 2010

Same as it always is:

Dems are going to take your guns
If you don't vote for me.....gays will marry and move next door to you
I will put an end to abortion
I will cut your taxes
I will balance the budget
I will end illegal immigration

"I can find nothing in the Second Amendment's text, history or underlying rationale that could warrant characterizing it as fundamental insofar as it seeks to protect the keeping and bearing of arms for private self-defense purposes." --Sonia "My great grandson is an NRA member and I have a wise Latina vagina" Sotomayor
Point 1) The right has been singing that sad old song for a long time. I live in the upper Ohio river valley and hunting is to this area what skiing is to Aspen. "The Democrats are going to take away your guns!" Horseshit!

Point 2) The righties always ALWAYS forget about that "well regulated militia" part! Justice Sotomayor is right! Context, my dear fellow, context and content!
