Old school days long gone, but not forgotten: Congressman's streaking stunt exposed

DALLAS The gloves have come off in a tight election race between two Texas congressmen -- and every other article of clothing appears to be fair game as well.

Democrats are circulating old newspaper clippings of a 1974 college streaking stunt staged by hundreds of students at what was then called Southwest Texas State University.

One of the participants was an 18-year-old freshman named Pete Sessions -- who grew up to become a conservative Republican congressman.

A Sessions spokesman says the congressman's "old school days are long gone" and that he recognizes the streaking stunt was "an immature action."

But the campaign of Democrat Representative Martin Frost is holding his rival's bare body to the fire, saying he "exposed himself to children and strangers."

The two incumbents are battling each other in a new Republican-leaning district in the Dallas area. Frost, Texas' senior congressman, had his district redrawn by Republicans last year.

I thought that the whole "moral outrage" deal was supposed to be conservatives domain. Afterall....how many of the conservatives here have been told that the real reason you don't like Clinton was because he got a blowjob and you either aren't getting one or don't like sex because youre conservative?

Aren't some conservatives told that they are simply close-minded for being against gay marriage, pornography, blowjobs in the oval office while on the phone to important foriegn leaders, prostitution...yada yada yada.

And here was have a DEMOCRATIC candidate using a streaking event from when the candidate was 18 years old????? And he's screeching about the fact that there were women and children present?

GIVE ME A BREAK!!!

Oh dear, but what about the poor women and children!

Any women and children witnessing the event were the same demographic of women and children (17-22 year old males and females) who were among the streakers.

I don't know about this anal retentive Democrat, but college antics like this were funny as as hell, not at all traumatic. But your absolutely the right, the Dems and the left are into the naked demonstrations, and if anything, should think its kind of cool this man had the balls to do it.

Heck, I'm a middle aged, church going, consevative Father of 4, but at 18 - 21, I lived a "slightly" different life, and I use those memories to teach those younger than me. Bill Clinton wasn't an evil man for getting head, he was wrong for cheating & lying and doing both in the oval office. We all have to learn from history, if we don't we're doomed to repeat it.
