On Friday, a gunman named Robert Lewis Dear killed three people and wounded nine others in a terrorist attack at a Planned Parenthood in Colorado. But “pro-life” conservatives are hailing him as a hero.

For five agonizing hours, Dear shot at police and barricaded himself inside the women’s clinic with hostages.

And as the terror unfolded, conservatives celebrated and cheered on the middle-aged white man. Most lamented that Dear hadn’t killed enough people to force the closure of the clinic while others said that people in the clinic deserved to die.

As usual I visited the site and could not find any images of people cheering.

There were apparently Tweets that do not identify themselves as any kind of person other then anti-abortion.

The attack was apparently AT a PP office but, since no one at the clinic was injured, it is hard to say it was an attack on the clinic. Well I say hard to say, meaning anyone with a shred of logic can't honestly say it was an attack on PP. But those who support the practice against the most innocent in our society sure can.

The Gateway Pundit is reporting information today which suggests that, contrary to the dearest hopes of rush-to-judgment liberals, the so-called Planned Parenthood shooter is not a right-winger driven to "domestic terrorism" by "anti-Planned Parenthood rhetoric."

The man who killed three, including Police Officer Garrett Swasey, and wounded several more in a shootout yesterday that ended in a Planned Parenthood office in Colorado Springs, has been identified as 57-year-old Coloradan Robert Lewis Dear, originally from South Carolina.

Before any verified details about the shooter or the incident came to light, the left - never letting a crisis go to waste - decided to run with the narrative that the shooter was at Planned Parenthood to kill workers there in response to the shocking series of undercover videos earlier this year. Those videos exposed the organization's abhorrent practices and attitudes toward aborted fetuses. Twitchy has some vile examples of the left's accusatory rhetoric on social media here. So far there is no evidence that Planned Parenthood was Dear's target, nor is there any indication of a motive.
