The only reason they went after her was because she was Sarah Palin's kid. Ashlee Simpson said she was waiting for marriage and she turned up pregnant. I don't remember an uproar in the media about that. I think same was true of Britney.

I will say, that if Palin said she ran a strict household, and was knowingly allowing her daughter and boyfriend to sleep together, then PALIN should be held accountable for lying. If, however, she set a standard and the kids didn't live up to it, that's not a bad reflection on Palin, that's part of parenting.

The media always has field day with teenage celebrities. They're like sharks to blood whenever one occurs. Though I will give Bristol for being somewhat sensible, and not saying Abstinence is the only option like her deluded Mother.

According to Levi Johnston (REALLY unsure about even giving any credit into that source) Palin did know they were sleeping together, without condoms. At least if I recall him saying that.

No, they mock her because they disagree with her, and they mocked her daughter, Bristol, because they didn't like her mother. If this is supposed to be a justification from you - "It's all right that WE act like ill-mannered, juvenile boors because our motives are good" - all it really accomplishes is to show that you are EXACTLY as undeserving of respect as the trolls in the story.

These are a small selection of some of the racially-charged comments posted to the conservative 'Free Republic' blog Thursday, aimed at U.S. President Barack Obama's 11-year-old daughter Malia after she was photographed wearing a t-shirt with a peace sign on the front.

The thread was accompanied by a photo of Michelle Obama speaking to Malia that featured the caption, "To entertain her daughter, Michelle Obama loves to make monkey sounds."

Though this may sound like the sort of thing one might read on an Aryan Nation or white power website, they actually appeared on what is commonly considered one of the prime online locations for U.S. Conservative grassroots political discussion and organizing - and for a short time, the comments seemed to have the okay of site administrators

"The writer has a point," wrote site owner Jim Thompson sarcastically. "We should steer clear of Obama's children. They can't help it if their old man is an American-hating Marxist pig."

Such was the onslaught of derision on the site that the person who originally complained about the slurs, a Kristin N., claims only one comment in the first hundred posted actually criticized the remarks as inappropriate.

Not a huge surprise from the same party that made regular jokes about Chelsea Clinton?

I an against ALL forms of racism but you can not deny the abundance of vitral hate coming from the right towards the Obamas justified by you all as payback for the 8 years of Bush trashing and dogging of Palin...all of which I can honestly say I NEVER took part in. Wrong is wrong no matter who it comes from...I cant stand Palin and never liked Bush but never took part in ANY hate speech of ANY kind towards either of them.
