Lately, we've seen a rise of this, especially in line with Charlie Hebdo and Texas. Liberal feminists have increasingly accused those who expect women to have good manners as much as anyone else of being Islamofascists. They've claimed that others are pushing their values onto them, and that they're no different from those waging a jihad. In essence, these liberal feminists are tolerating abuse and blaming the victim while telling victims to deal with it...
...but in line with this has been a rise of conservative negligence. Conservatives don't seem to embrace law, order, or civility, nor do they distinguish between the extremism of radical Muslims versus those who just believe in good manners. In Britain, we've even seen Cameron embrace the notion of offensive free speech, and in America, many associate Obama with those who expect good manners instead.
There is a rise of rugged individualism that borders on anarchy among conservatives who are flat out apathetic towards calling liberal feminists out. It's almost as if they're using liberal feminism to reinforce traditional gender roles a la women being allowed to be conniving manipulators while either getting in cat fights with other women or expecting men to man up and have a thick skin. If anything, multiculturalist liberals appear more conservative than rugged individualist conservatives today. At least they embrace the diversity of human nature, believe individuals deserve respect for who they are on the inside that counts, and understand how the pop culture consumerism which has enabled feminism to get out of control has also lead to the deconstruction of social values behind good manners.
