Conservatism Is Dead

Given that real conservatism was scarcely tested in the last election the announcement is more than a wee bit premature.

It IS incrrect to call what we have been going though in the last 8 years conservatism.

Fiscally we have been supply siding which may or may not be conservative.

It is correct, I think to say that supply siding is deader than the dodo for a while.

BUT.........

should the economy change its nature (as it often does) then it might make sense to worry that the supply side needs to be coddled.

RIGHT NOW...

it's the DEMAND SIDE that needs to be revitalized.

We can debate how that need be done, we can even debate that left to its own devices that the DEMAND SIDE will recover without any stimulus,

BUT

debating that we need more STIMULUS to increase the supply side simply doesn't pass the smell test.
