Connecticut Gun Owner, Reacting To Parkland Shooting, Destroys Her Pistol

Know what would have been far better?

Adam Lanza's mother destroying hers before Newtown.

Why would she do that?

Oh maybe because Adam was a fuckin' nutjob?
I dunno, just a shot in the dark. No pun intended. I mean it would have saved 27 lives including her own.

Here's a great idea for you...

sell you car, or give it away.

Before you run someone over.

Because that's going to happen.

I see it in my crystal ball.

Just like Ms Lanza saw Jerod killing her, and all those students in hers.

Try to play word games all you want but the fact REMAINS --- if Adam Lanza's mother had destroyed (or otherwise disposed of) her weirdo arsenal, she and twenty toddlers an several teachers would still be alive today.

Who the fuck is "Jerod"?

his mother was a 'survivalist'. adam lanza blacked out his bedroom windows to 'block out' the world & would only communicate with her thru email even though they lived in the same house..

his name was adam. & his mother knew he was a ticking timebomb.

She knew he had problems, not that he was a 'ticking timebomb'.

or do you have information the rest of the class doesn't?

(and are you able to link your crystal ball so we can see it?)

Adam Lanza's First Psychotic Episode

Adam Lanza’s Mental Problems ‘Completely Untreated’ Before Newtown Shootings, Report Says

you're welcome.

Nice articles.

didn't see any mention of him becoming a homicidal maniac in either of them

nobody is a homicidal maniac until the killing begins. it's reported that he suffered from both auditory & visual hallucinations. you know - signs of schizophrenia...

tell me again how you would trust someone like that be around guns?
I'd keep them locked up.

Just like his mother did, may she rest in peace.

(too bad her crystal ball was on the blink. She might still be alive)

she didn't need a crystal ball. she needed to listen to the doctors who warned her that her son wasn't well & instead of getting him the help he needed, she ignored them & didn't take him for therapy. she made extremely lousy choices- the worst was having firearms & assault rifles in her home.

she didn't deserve to die but she was partly to blame for the massacre her son carried out.

Sounds like you need to borrow Dr Emmett Browns DeLorean, , and go warn her.

I'm sure she'll listen to you.

Rehashing history from 5 years ago isn't gong to change any minds, nor is it going to change the facts.

But, keep living in woulda, coulda, shoulda.

I hear the rent is cheap.

. it's not about rehashing. it's about learning from past mistakes.

you know, instead of ignoring the warning signs so perhaps they won't happen again?

people who don't want to learn, stay poorly educated.

Go away because I kick your ass? Put me on "ignore" so that you don't have to see how I refute your lame attempt at making an argument.

we have firearms in our home too for hunting & protection. never had the need to stockpile them because the black man was gonna come & take them away. an AR-15 is useless for hunting & if you can't hit your 'target' breaking into your house with a handgun, then you have no business owning a gun.

Why would you say an AR-15 is useless for hunting?

It fires a .223 caliber bullet...anything that you would hunt with a medium game round (.223 Rem, 220 Swift, 22 Hornet, 22-250, etc...) can be harvested with an AR15. They are light, highly accurate, and all weather ready. I have a freezer full of razorback meat that attests to the suitability of an AR15 to the pursuit of wild game.

Many of us purchased ARs after years of armed forces training with the M16 and later M4. It is a tradition as old as military service. My Grandfather had a lever action Winchester 1873 chambered in 32-20...a rifle that was used extensively by the military on the frontier (he was born in 1894). My Father had a bolt action rifle similar to the Springfield M1903 chambered in 30-06...the preeminate U.S. rifle round at the time (the current .308 is a shortened version of that parent case). And I have an AR15. It's an A1 stock style (no adjustments) that was predominant during my term of service, but I choose to eschew the dorsal carrying handle of the A1 for the flat top of the A3 model. After learning the rifle inside and out, why would I NOT want one?

And it likely would have remained that way, soldiers and Marines, and to lesser extent airmen and sailors, purchasing AR-15s...until Democrats made buying them illegal. Well, faux-illegal, since the basic rifle setup was always available. After they were faux-illegal, they were in the news all the time, exploding their exposure and thus their popularity. Now the AR15 is one of the most popular firearms in America. Under the Miller standard "in common use", AR-15s couldn't be banned today. I know you'll say Miller isn't set in stone...and that's fine...as long as you're willing to acknowledge Roe is set on the same foundation you afford Miller.
