Paul Broun: Treat Depression by going to the E.R. : Georgia Liberal

:disbelief:

Oh wait:

Paul Broun - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Broun introduced a military anti-pornography bill into the House of Representatives. The bill is meant to stem the sales of pornography on U.S military installations. This bill basically notes that the there should be no loopholes in a former piece of legislation (Title 10 of the United States code), effectively banning military personnel from viewing pornography (Now entitled the "Military Honor and Decency Act").[5] According to Broun's website, legislation will only be passed based on his "Four Way Test", which includes, "1) Is it moral/right?, 2) Is it constitutional?, 3) Is it necessary?, and 4) Is it affordable?".[1]

In May 2009, Broun proposed legislation that 2010 be proclaimed "The Year Of The Bible".[7]

Now I'm less surprised but I still shake my head.

This is the same Republican who compared Obama to Hitler, isn't it?

Yes it is, but there are several of those today. Remember, it's bad when Bush was called Hitler but alright when Obama is. No consistency.

I just find it arrogant of him to actually believe this. Though he doesn't have to worry about his health insurance, he has one from Congress. Hopefully in a couple years he'll lose his health insurance if you get what I'm saying. :eusa_whistle:

Broun has to be really completely stupid, and what does that say about those that elected him!!!!!!

To be fair, they probably didn't know he was so batshit insane. That, and his father was the Democratic Congressman for that area for years. So they figured son would be like father.

Or maybe sending him to Congress was the only way to get him to stop practicing medicine locally...

Father was a Dem, he's the Republican, sounds like Dixiecrat pedigree to me....

Broun won in a special election when the previous holder of the seat died. He came in second on the first ballot, but won the runoff because his opponent suggested that the University of Georgia should be disbanded, except for the football team.
