It's a brief discussion. A bit under five minutes. This is what's been going on while they were having those impeachment hearings.

Rep. Massie is one of the few good ones in D.C. who makes us aware of this stuff. No surprise Pelosi hurried up and snuck it through. In one breath the Dems claim to oppose everything Trump does but in the other breath supports everything he does. What a bunch of frauds, the lot of em.

As usual, it's war on us. A constant attack on freedom in America, courtesy of the party of one.

Additionally - To what degree can Congress delegate its law making authority to the executive?

The thread premise is truly naïve.

The fault lies not with Congress or a political party but with the American people.

The people alone are responsible for the bad government they get, not politicians.

The people want to be ‘safe.’

The people are afraid of ‘terrorism.’

Lawmakers respond by enacting measures such as the PA reflecting the will of the people – the consequence of the people’s fear and ignorance.

Vilifying elected officials is pointless, they’re not the problem.

I believe Young Politicians start out Honest with good intentions. They soon learn selling out to get elected and then selling out to get rich are the norm. And "Truth " is anything they can get you to believe.

Courtesy bump, just as a reminder. December 20th is coming quick.

They've combined 12 bills into one spending bill here. There's some really, really bad stuff hidden in it. 4th Amendment, for instance? Out the window. And nobody is even paying attention.

Here's what's gonna happen. They're gonna do what they always do, give em an hour to read it (which hardly anyone will) and they're gonna come in and tell em they have to vote on it if they wanna get home for the holidays. And everyone will, it'll pass right through and Trump will likely just sign it. But the narrative will be, oh, we have to rule on the impeachment before Dec 20th instead. They wonlt mention a peep about this screwery. Nope. Not one peep.

What the President really should do is send it back to the congress and tell em to send him 12 separate bills like the rules say they're supposed to do. But he won't. The Dems, even though they like to pretend they oppose Trump, are basically funding everything he wants to do in this bill.

Not entirely true.
I think it is. There's and old saying that says the people will always get the government that they truly deserve and collectivism is the fastest way to get there.

Looks like Pelosi and company got together with the Republicans and Democrats and split the omnibus bill into two bills.

1.4 trillon dollars in spending. It was 2,313 pages, but they snuck in a corporate welfare section in the middle of the night to bring it up to 2,366 pages.

They had less than 24 hours to read it.

So, to quote Congressman Massie on the subject...''Congress just gave this President more spending authority than any other leader in the history of human civilization. Wednesday: Congress impeaches the President. The impeachment is theater.''

Nationwide 21 to buy smokes.....There goes a fuckton of tax revenue.

Yeah, looks like the government banned cig sales to 18-20 year olds yesterday, too.

According to Congresssman Massie...''The cost to implement... $18,580,790 per year....Also, random unannounced inspections!''....

No, the president just doesn't want to have to shut down government just before Christmas, The Dims knew that and buried a whole lot of crap in the bills.

well they're god damn sure not the solution.

now - if the power is with us, what can WE THE PEOPLE do? elect new ones is about it. yet, you say they're not the problem.

so what is?

nevermind. not in the mood for stupidity this am.

So, to review, 13 actual bills, I believe, split into two bills making up one omnibus bill all said and done.

I can imagine congressional aids running across the isle with some manner of 'you give us this, we'll give you that' rhetoric

You and those like you on both sides are the biggest threat to this country, bar none.

Your willingness to give your side a free pass is why nothing ever changes.

Blame the victims.

Pound sand up your ass.

The victims as you call them choose these people, they are not an innocent bystander

This is prior to sneaking in the corporate welfare section in the mddle of the night...which also should have been a separate bill.
