What's the difference between the three?

Congress extorts money in the form of taxes

Unions extort money in the form of dues

    Organized Crime extort money

In all three cases, most, if not all of the money extorted does not benefit the extort-ee.

The first two do it under a pretense

The third is honest enough to acknowledge that they're stealing.

The first will throw you in jail and appropriate your property for not paying

The second will throw you out and refuse to represent you

The third will either kill you or beat you up.

So, again I ask ... what's the difference?
