It is sad some retards still associate the South with "slavery" as if that was even a bad thing. Blacks in the South who were not totally feeble minded enjoyed a lifestyle significantly better than living in a mud hut in Africa with savage tribes all around seeking to attack them. The North had slaves but quickly got rid of them since they could not find a function the slaves could perform that was less costly than doing it yourself. It was about economics, not race.
