I've said it before, I will repeat it now for both those that did not read it and for those that chose to ignore it. Due to my own age and forgetfulness, I'll also excuse any that read it but just forgot it.

First, I am the father of my children. Second I am the husband of my wife. Thirdly, I am an American and fourthly I am a Democrat. I am not ashamed of any of that. For what it's worth, fifth, I am a proud Veteran and would be very glad to defend this country again as much as my ability to do so remains.

I too am a sincere and involved american. Sounds like your an old school democrat. The liberals today are just anti american socialists. DId you see zell millers democrats for bush movement? There's a place for you there.

Zell Miller decided to retire from politics rather than switch parties. That's a lot more than I can say for some present Republicans. Zell is an honorable man, IMHO.

Rice corroborated that Prez thought it INEFFICIENT to bring Cabinet together and work to stop attacks.

Rice claims structural deficiency in CIA/FBI.

Clarke says to OVERCOME these deficiencies there could have had daily meetings White House meetings
under CRISIS MODE where info buried at CIA/FBI could have been brought out.

Rice ADMITS she didn't have these daily Crisis Mode Meetings.

Clarke's Memo was supposedly in "Historical Nature" according to Rice and she sez Clarke didn't try hard
enought to meet Prez.

Clarke: His documents and attachments from Jan 25 should be declassified. Sez URGENTLY needed to have
meeting with full Cabinet to approve strategy.

Clarke presented a strategy but BUSH NEEDED TO MAKE DECISIONS

Sept 4th strategy that WAS adopted same as earlier. BUSH WASTED TIME.

Clarke DID ask for meetings after Transition but was told he couldn't meet with bush til after POLICY
DEVELOPEMENT PROCESS was completed

Clarke had Cyber-Terrorism meeting with Prez but was told NOT to talk about Al Qaeda that he would
EVENTUALLY get to talk with Prez about it in the future possibly sometime in September.

I think Condi did an excellent job of verifying Clarke's rendition of facts and failures, don't you?

It really all comes down to who you believe is telling the truth.

Clark is on the record saying one thing as a major source in "Losing Bin Laden" and with his testimony that he gave upon the time of his resignation. Then his book clearly states a different point of view.

Condileeza Rice has never been on the record contradicting her point of view.

So a credibility issue is raised with Clarke. His rebuttal could be truth but it also could be more fuel to sell his book. His motivation is in question. Condy has no monatary gain involved in her responses. She is simply stating the facts from her point of view.

In the end, Democrats will believe Clarke, Republicans will believe Condy and nothing will be solved from this mockery of a commission.

Or some present democrats that cant give it up. ITs the one problem with our system. Senators and Reps need to have term limits same as the President. No one should be able to be a lifer in office.
