Community Investment? Oh, Please

I can certainly agree with that. IMHO, nothing has hurt low income workers in the US more than globalization. Putting American workers in direct completion with foreign workers making $2/hr was really dumb
I've heard German capitalists felt the same incentives to move their "factories" in the 1990s, BUT the German labor unions had voting members sitting on the board of directors of the corporations they sold their labor to and rejected the plan.

Could it happen here?
Take a look at production costs and the price of consumer goods. All of the nations where the governments are progressive/socialist which sympathize with big labor have very high costs of living.
Take a look at the difference in the cost of living between New Jersey( a union heavy state with extremely high costs for public services) and say Texas, where public services are far less costly, work just as well if not better with much less red tape.
For get the "unions are my God" nonsense.

It's called the laws of inevitability.
Please do not tell me you had no clue the rest of the world would catch up to and in some cases surpass the US's industrial might.

Actually...it's the law of the Giant Suck.
TPP?

Bring back orphanages and reform schools. All those other programs wouldn't be needed.
Studies going back many decades have shown that orphanages are absolutely awful. KIds in orphanages miss the most important parental relationships, bonding of parent and child. These youngsters can’t form healthy attachments and fail to develop a conscience, resulting in such “bad seed” behaviors as pulling off the heads of baby animals and setting houses on fire. If they're not adopted at an early age, they will spend their childhood going through one rejection after another. In short kids that spend their childhood in orphanages develop low self esteem and anti-social behavior. Case studies have show that they are more likely to commit suicide, get divorced, become addicted to drugs or alcohol, be institutionalize, and have a below average income.

Pelosi was right about one thing when she said :"get used to the suck".
Oh and Obama is now pushing a Pacific Rim trade agreement.
We'll get fucked on that one too.
People are going to be fooled into believing it's Japan, China and Korea...They will forget about Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Laos and Cambodia. All of which are relatively poor countries. We'll be "trading" ( yeah right) with those nations as well.

CVS tried to invest in Baltimore. It didn't work out very well. No company is going to invest in a community of violent thugs.

It's funny how the RWnuts think that the military can't survive without more and more money,

but that everything else in society would be better off with less money.

Sorry, I'm not your slave I have no intention of working my ass off logging hundreds of hours of overtime just to hand MY money over to the scum left to be re-distributed to abled bodied lazy ass sponges.
