Commericials you love to hate

One set of commercials I really hated were the ones, I think it was Cealis, where it had that whislting song in the background and the guy with the stupid grin on his face while they talked a lot about 'natural male enhancement' and have a bunch of sexual innuendo on the screen (guy's garden hose going limp, all the women ogling when his swim trunks fall off, etc.). The thing that now makes it bearable is when I was watching T.V. with a friend. At the end of the commercial, when it was talking about 'a happy mrs. back home' and showing the equally stupid grin on the wife's face, he just said as loud as he could, "HA HA HA! CAUSE THEY HAVE SEX!!" Every time I see that commercial now, I can't help but laugh, but not because the commercial is even mildly amusing.

I just saw an rather annoying one ....

The parents confront their child with a "box" and are demanding "Where did you learn this?"

He replies, "I learned it from you."

They pan to the box and it's full of remote controls for TVs/VCRs.

'Parents who flip through channels have children who flip through channels."

Of course, if you stay tuned to Channel 5 all the time, this problem will all go away.:wtf:
 
How about those infomercials? You know, the ones with the legions of perpetually amazed people?

How a person living in the 21st century can be totally astounded by a juicer or a frying pan is beyond me!
 
What about those Quiznos commercials that used to have the hideous Hampsters with English Dentist type teeth?

I hate hate hate the Pepto Bizmol commercials where they have a bunch of people doing the macarena of intestinal discomfort.
 
I despise that hag on TV advertising the creatively named, dual purpose products "Grip 'n Flip" and "Scoop 'n Strain." I'd like to slap her with that crap. Funny thing is that I might actually buy that stuff if I didn't hate the commericals so much.

I do have a few that I like watching though
The Lexus commercial with the song that goes "it's amazing" the Westin Hotel commercial...And the travel ad for Nevada where they play the Indian song....Very dreamy :)
 
I like most everything Geico does. Especially the Speed Racer and Esteban ones.

The Arby's commercial with the kid parallel parking is funny, too.

I do like those particular Geico commercials, but I'm getting sick of the frickin' gecko. The first one with the gecko was funny, but now he's worse than the Taco Bell dog.
 
How about radio commercials? I listen to talk radio pretty much 8 hours a day at work. 90% of those annoy you into remembering.

Lets see if people know these.

The one where its someone calling a person on the phone and starts out by saying "Whats the catch?" I feel like ripping my ears off everytime i hear that. Whats worse is that other companies have copied that format. So now i hear the same commerical for different products. Wonderful. :rolleyes:

The one with Tanya Roberts or some dumb whore telling me about Vegas in a voice that could strip paint off of cars. Note to ad agencies, for radio don't have someone with a chalkboard scratching voice.

As for tv, someone said the pepto commercials. The British Gecko is pissin me off. All cell phone commercials but especially Verizon and Sprint with the creepy glasses guy and his mob and the Trench coat guy.

Im sure there is more but ive purged them from my memory.

I forgot all about that! Yeah, the gecko is annoying. When he first appeared, wasn't the whole idea that people were confusing him, gecko, for Geico? That's pretty lame.

I do have to say, I like the Alltel one with all the spokespeople from the other companies. Pretty creative on their part.
