I am actually fascinated by this thread. It started with me being pretty irked by the 9th Circus (again) but in reading all the replies, I have to say, their point is not necessarily all that far off. I still prefer the dissenting opinion, but the majority opinion is not necessarily just "crap" on that basis.
It's almost an historic thread, too. I had a chat with Ravi in this thread that didn't involve any flaming or ad hominems by either of us. It's one of the few times I have personally witnessed her being quite reasonable and on topic. She may do that more than I am aware of. I just haven't seen a lot of it in the threads we have both joined. (I imagine that I don't bring out the best in her.
Anyway, I thought the topic was interesting. It's kinda cool to see liberals and conservatives agreeing on some topics: in this case the agreement is that the ballot is superior to the bullet.
