Colin Powell Trashes Mitt Romney's Team Of Foreign Policy Advisers

WASHINGTON -- Former Secretary of State Colin Powell on Wednesday questioned Mitt Romney's choice in foreign policy advisers, saying that some are so right-wing that the advice they give deserves "second thought."

"I don't know who all of his advisers are, but I've seen some of the names and some of them are quite far to the right. And sometimes they might be in a position to make judgments or recommendations to the candidate that should get a second thought," Powell said during an appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

He gave the example of Romney recently saying that Russia is the "number one geopolitical foe" to the United States.

"Come on Mitt, think," Powell said. "That isn't the case."

Romney's team of about 40 foreign policy advisers includes many who hail from the neoconservative wing of the party, according to a May analysis conducted by the The Nation. Many were enthusiastic supporters of the Iraq War, and many are proponents of a U.S. or Israeli attack on Iran.

Powell has always second guessed foreign policy. He was against the first Gulf War and then he took credit when it was so successful.

Sounds like the heavy hand of Putin's new government is starting to show.

President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday defended a bill introducing fines of $30,000 or more for people who organize or participate in unauthorized rallies.

The Kremlin human rights council had asked him to veto the bill.

Media reports have said the bill could be enacted into law before the planned large-scale opposition rally on June 12.

That's funny. Romney doesn't have a foreign policy team yet. Fact is he hasn't picked a cabinet, a VP or any such thing.

FAIL!!

Note that Powell used the the word 'adviser', not 'cabinet'.

Mitt Romney taps foreign policy, national security advisers - The Washington Post

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Thursday announced a team of dozens of foreign policy and national security advisers, tapping an array of Bush administration veterans and former lawmakers to help him shape his defense, intelligence and counterterrorism proposals.

The announcement of 22 special advisers as well as leaders of 13 separate regional and issue-specific working groups comes as Romney, a former Massachusetts governor and businessman, prepares to deliver a major foreign policy address at the Citadel here on Friday.

By rolling out his advisory team and policy specifics this week, Romney, the front-runner in national polls for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination, is trying to stand out from his opponents by showing a command of foreign policy and national security issues.

Fail, indeed.

And Grenell, the gay man who stepped down, was Romney's foreign affairs advisor.

It gets worse.

It appears The Mitt hangs-out with SOCIALISTS!!!!

"EdWeek reports that presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney has named the members of his K-12 Education Committee for his campaign.

Rees is a particularly interesting choice. She served as the deputy under secretary for Innovation and Improvement at the Department of Education under the Bush administration, where she advocated for school privatization through the expansion of school vouchers and other schemes that funnel public dollars to private educational institutions."

When Will The Mitt Apologize???
(....For hanging-out with socialists.)

:eusa_eh:

Did you see him telling Sean Hannitty that we know Republicans were secretly meeting the very night of Obama's inauguration to plan on how to destroy him? After doing that, how could they blame divisiveness on Obama?

This was after Sean said Obama was the most divisive president in history.
