You can't win 'em all :102:, but Kap is still an arsehole and commie!!!

"NEW YORK (AP) — Colin Kaepernick and Eric Reid have settled collusion cases against the NFL.

The league and Kaepernick’s lawyer sent out statements Friday saying that “the parties have decided to resolve the pending grievances” and that a confidentiality agreement would prevent either side from commenting further.

It remains unclear if the NFL admitted wrongdoing or how much money Reid, Kapernick or others may have received. Considering the lost salary both players claimed and legal costs, the settlement could have climbed into the tens of millions."

Kaepernick could be paid tens of millions in NFL collusion settlement

He didn't get the money yet. The NFL could still appeal and drag out the case until Kapper's kid is old enough to play.

Know what else the NFL could do..............

---- quit running that jingo-puppet show out there in a game that has nothing to do with jingoism, in an exercise that isn't even broadcast anyway.

I know, that would require having too many brain cells on the field.....

Combine this with the Nike money, and Kap's had a damn lucrative year

Sounds like a replay of ole Jessie Jackson and the crew busting corporations back in the day.

Some thing's never change, but what has changed in this nation, is that it (the nation) has become vulnerable/weak as water anymore.

So this cat stages an event inside of a major event, and does it for attention against the rules/illegally, and then he makes off with millions afterwards ? Only in America do we see this kind of stupidity today.

He didn't break the rules but the league did

Read again... He staged an unscheduled event inside an event, therefore taking the spotlight off of the event in which fans were there to see, and then placed the event into a negative category for quite a while.... It caused millions of dollars to be lost, and worse fans to take flight and/or to not participate any longer. He damaged the image and the brand of the NFL, and caused a boycott of the games. Serious stuff I'd say.

He did not break any rule and nobody was required to pay attention to him. The NFL posted record revenues the year he protested.

Holy crap. My thread was moved out of politics in record time .

All the Kneeling threads were allowed to stay in politics. How can we not talk about this. ?

Ok, you tell yourself that, but the fans no best, and they were not happy with the bullcrap highjacking of their game in order to turn it into a Washington Mall protest.

If the dumb NFL was smart, they would insulate the game from further bullcrap like that, and they should fire or fine any player that attempts to disrupt the game in these ways, and tries to tarnish the brand in this way.

If it doesn't, then it is a complete waste of time anymore.

Complete fabrication. What he did was decline to stand for the NA jingo dance. That's it. Didn't bring it up, didn't call attention to it. And you wouldn't even have KNOWN about it had some photographer snapped his picture ---- after he had already been doing it for weeks --- and astroturfed an artificial "issue" out of it knowing obsequious drones could be marched along in lockstep about being butthurt about a freaking jingo exercise that (a) has zero to do with the game everybody came for, and (b) isn't even on television anyway.

What DID get the NFL in trouble, and a lot of other pro sports, was the revelation that they were all taking Pentagon pimp money to put these jingo parade commercials on in the first place. And actually to the NFL's credit they were the only one of those pro sports to take an audit and send some 3/4 of a million taxpayer dollars BACK.

Salute THAT.
