And your "required reading" is just an attempt by you to control the conversation. Sunni and Shiite are even as we speak COOPERATING, your claim they can not and will never is false and is proven by events and reality in not JUST Iraq.

there are sunni and shiite blocs within the civilian government...I would hardly say that they are "cooperating" "at loggerheads" might be more appropriate.

In the military, but not in integrated units...there are sunni units and shiite units.... and they are ALL closely watched by US units.

I ask you again, have you read The Arab Mind by Patai? Are you aware of the heirarchy of loyalties that govern the way arabs think?

have you EVER lead combat ground troops in battle? Have you ever fought an insurgency and terrorist resistance? Have you ever been a General or high Officer of a Joint task force that had as its mission counter terrorism, fighting Insurgency or securing areas in those type of environments?

I have, however, been part of a multinational peacekeeping force whose mission was to counter terrorism and to keep various factions of arabs from killing one another in environments quite similar to Iraq. WHat is in your CV that would relate to this issue?

You mean peacekeepers like the ones in Lebanon that had terrorists setting up missile launch sites in their commands? Or the ones that were unarmed and in "the occupied" territory and totally at the mercy of any armed terrorist or Arab? Those Peace keepers?
