CNN Poll: Obama Approval at 55%, but only 48% Agree With Him on Issues That Matter Most | TPMDC

A new CNN poll shows slightly less than half of Americans "agree with President Obama on the issues that matter most."

Forty-eight percent say they agree with Obama, 51% say they don't. An April CNN poll showed the opposite, with 57% saying they agreed with the president and 41% saying they don't.

At the same time, Obama's approval ratings remain high. Fifty-five percent said they approve of the job he's doing as president, and 66% said "Obama has the personality and leadership qualities a President should have."

This poll just shows how awful the CNN polling methodology must be.

Is the cup half full, or half empty? Actually that is a terrible score. I would bet his approval would jump to 75% if he would bring the ME troops home, and 95% if he withdrew all troops from foreign countrys. There is 5% he will never get from the racist pigs.

The poll was probably done just in DC among federal employees.

LOL.

That one has as much credibility as the one done by Fox.

Think the numbers are the same?

Wonder why not.......

It wouldn't be 95%, but it would be high.

There are some that aren't racist..but think we should be at perpetual war..

The poll also indicates that 55 percent of the public thinks Obama's policies will move the country in the right direction, with just over four in ten saying the president's policies will move the nation in the wrong direction. Obama's 55 percent is 11 points higher than the 44 percent who say the policies of congressional Republican leaders will move the country in the right direction. Americans are split at 48 percent on whether what congressional Democrats are proposing will move the country along the right path.

Uhhh, let's see. If you're rich, tax cut. If you're poor, tax cut. If you're unemployed, extended benefits. If you're anyone, payroll tax reduction. Who the hell does that leave to be unpleased?

I only approve of what his black half is doing. The white half, however, is a complete fuck up.

Damn...only 55% of CNN's 3000 viewers are in favor of his anitcs? How sad is that?!?!?

!0% unemployment, annual $1.3 Trillion deficits, record poverty.

You're doing a heck of a job, Brownie

Obama and the GOP got together and 'compromised' by agreeing to throw 900 billion borrowed dollars at the problem.

According to my calculations, ballpark figure, just the new interest on the debt this budget buster results in is

80 million dollars a day.
