Also the US stock market is not being driven by US causes. As the best safe haven left more than a trillion a year is flowing into our asset markets. The slowdown of the various bubbles in China and the spread of fracking overseas are creating lowering input costs. However the indirect national debt of China through state owned banks and enterprises plus provincial and local debts may be larger than ours. When China and Japan tank that will be bad.
